Promotion a must this season.

Probably mentioned elsewhere but next seasons possible championship London clubs.

Charlton
Palace
Millwall
West Ham
Fulham
QPR
Fulham
Brentford

We can't miss out on this.
Great season could lie ahead.

Or probably get dicked in every London Derby knowing us.

  • When I opened this thread, I was thinking it might be coming at the issue at a different angle. I think that if we don't go up, we will be a weaker team next year if this lot stay in charge. The play offs are rotten place to end up - it wasn't too long ago that a comfortable win looked on the cards against a fairly poor Swindon team in play off semi final; it soon changed.

We have to hope Millwall are relegated, or there are 6 points we will not get

Blimey, I hope they are not related. Never mind about the 6 points.

Two trips to Fulham would be good.
    Once in the league.
And twice in the same round of the Carabao Cup.
  • Next 5 games have 2 we may lose - away at Shrewsbury and Scunthorpe - and 1 probable draw, Peterboro' at home. We should beat both MK Dons and Rochdale at home but 7 points out of 5 games in November would be play-off, not automatic promotion form.

Better than that and I'd say automatic a possibility but we'll have to fight for it.

Shite, don't know how that happened but was meant to include us, meaning 8 teams from London meaning 1 in 3 games is a derby.

Cant remember that many London derbies in a season in my time.
  • Think there were 8 London sides in the top flight in the late 80's
  • Us
    Millwall
    Chelsea
    Arsenal
    Spurs
    QPR
    West ham
    Watford
    Wimbledon

All in the top flight in 1989? I think

Millwall were good that year, United average. First year I really got into football. Think we beat United at "home".
  • We did two nil?!? Williams with both?
  • We beat them 1-0 with a penalty in 88/89 that was my first year supporting Charlton and one of my very first games. I'm sure the 2-0 was 89/90

    Glory hunter.
  • Charlton have made the fourth-best start to a league season in their history - after 1985-86, 1999-00 & 2011-12. In all three seasons they have made a better start, they have gone on to be promoted that season.
