Does anyone know what's happened to this tosser? Is he still on duchatelets payroll somewhere or has he finally realised the bloke is clueless and binned him?

    I never warmed to him but I can only really accuse him of embodying the fake it till you make it mentality that’s so popular. I saw that thread just now and yeah not much to be annoyed about, just him being seemingly super honest
    Must of been tough for him to know so many supporters disliked him so much but . . . I’m sure on payday it wasn’t an issue

    I am being devils advocate here?
    As I see it, all he really did was to gather extensive data on individual players at the behest of our scouting system.
    I’m not sure that he went as far as actually recommending players/targets that he himself had identified….or did he?

    I kind of understand it is worth remembering his age at the time. If someone had came to me at 22 (I may be wrong but that was roughly the age) and offered the chance to get involved in professional football (especially if i wasnt a footballer) I would of took it so would everyone else I imagine. This isnt defending his decisions but more understanding his failures.

    According to the documentary made by Jimmy, and the audio interviews with Powell, Luzon, etc.. He had final say on all our signings. He was the boss. Chris Powell in particular didn't seem too enamoured with him because he was also suggesting lineups, tactics and formations.

    Chapples got unfinished business - he’s hunting down his targets this window like Liam Neason in one of his misery / kidnap films - ‘I will scout you and I will sign you’ - he can really earn his money this window by digging us out some great additions - time to shine and put Driesen firmly back in his toy box -COYC !!!
