Head of Academy Steve Avory is the guest speaker at this year's CAS Trust AGM at The Bugle Horn, Charlton Village on November 23rd.
The AGM will start at 7.30pm and there will be a Q&A with Steve after the formal business has been dealt with.
This is an opportunity to find out what it is that makes our Academy the most successful in the EFL and the 4th most successful in the Premier League and EFL. You can ask about progress on the redevelopment of the training ground and the plans to gain category 1 Academy status. You can try to find out who Steve thinks are the up and coming starts of the future (although it is very unlikely he will tell you).
Or you can just enjoy the free sandwiches
As this is an AGM it is only open to members of CAS Trust but you can join or renew your membership on the night (£5)

Gutted I can’t make this now. Just want to take this opportunity to put forward my thanks to the Trust for what an excellent they do representing us as fans over the past year
Have a good evening all0 -
A.good meeting.
Steve Avory was very impressive. Modest and understated - a good counterpoint to Karl Robinson. Serious and very committed to what he does. Self deprecating. If you were parents of a ten year old considering the Academy you'd be confident your kid would be in safe hands.
We will.do a full write up in Trust News 15 which goes out to members in a couple of weeks.9 -
Listening to Steve talking football is an education and a pleasure.1

I played under Steve Avery for North kent right up until i finished school we had some very good players and won a hell of lot of trophies. He was a great coach and helped all of us improve so much.Total respect for the man you just knew he would go on and acheive great things.1

He spoke very well and like @Pico says if I had a young son who was good at football you’d be confident he’d be the man to go to which bodes we’ll for our future. I suspect he was a big loss to the teaching profession, wish he’d been my PE teacher.
Very good of him to give up his evening.
What with that and @rikofold i feel like joining Valley Gold!1 -
