Amos; 8 (MoM) - His best game, with two outstanding saves in the second half
Solly: 7 - More involved and pushed on well
Sarr: 7.5 - Won everything in the air, and a great left foot too
Konsa: 5.5 - Dreadful first half hour, and really must look for forward passes. It's not all about stats!!!!
DaSilva: 6 - Poor early on, but got better and never gave up
Kashi: 6 - Awful first half but redeemed himself with some excellent midfield play later
Marshall: 6.5 - Made the winner and often ran 50 yards with the ball
Forster-Caskey: 7 - Scored the goals but often missing in an absent midfield
Reeves: 6 - Kicked to pieces (four fouls against him in the first ten minutes!), we need him fit for the weekend
Holmes: 5.5 - Never gives up, but again too many blind alleys that lead to losing the ball
Magennis: 6 - Tough up front on his own, he kept going and has massive heart
Ahearne-Grant: 6 - Has the attributes but not the brain to be a good footballer

Amos; 7 extra half a point for the saves
Solly: 6.5 great player, poor captain
Sarr: 6.5 veers between moments of sublime skill and an accident waiting to happen. Better 2nd half
Konsa: 6.5 looks more assured than Sarr, but got bullied a bit. As an aside to those criticising his heading from Saturday, he headed the ball a lot in the first half
    DaSilva: 7.5
Kashi: 6.5 great at breaking up play, too many poor passes
Marshall: 7 you can see he's not fully fit yet, but did almost 90 last night and actually takes on players and goes forward.
Forster-Caskey: 8 got two poacher's goals and showed the sort of aggression we needed to beat a limited physical Rochdale side
    Reeves: 5 anonymous at times
Holmes: 7 let someone else have a go sometimes Ricky
Magennis: 7.5 never stops even though he gets little service
Ahearne-Grant: 6.5 made a difference with his pace. Not sure he'll "come good" though.

Amos 7.5 almost gifted them a goal to put them two up but made two excellent saves late on
Solly 7 decent show but maybe didn't pressure their winger enough for the goal?
Sarr 7.5 another huge showing from him, although he let Andrew foul him a couple of times and the ref didn't care. Also, needs a goal. Seems weird to say that about a centre back but if he was more confident in front of goal we'd be a monstrous proposition at set-pieces
Konsa 6.5 completely awful for half an hour. To his credit, responded to Robinson.
DaSilva 7.5 conspired with Amos to gift them a second goal which luckily didn't go in. Rest of the game defended like he could do it in his sleep and scared them when he ran at them. What a player
Kashi 6.5 increasing habit of making weird decisions but generally controls the game well
Marshall 7.5 starting to look and act the part
JFC 8 MOM what a handy poacher he has become. Also defended pretty well
Reeves 6.5 think he's getting a raw deal on here a bit. Linked beautifully with Marshall a few times - just couldn't really get into the game. Patience required
Holmes 6.5 tigerish into the tackle and robbed their hapless right back twice. His final ball was again poor though, for what feels like the fifth week running
Magennis 7 thought he was a big part of our blitz in the early second half
KAG 7 changed the game when he came on - gave us more pace and shape, and scared them with his running. Put a few good crosses in. His finishing is cursed though, we must realise this

Amos; 7 - a few very good saves second half, but slow off his line 1st
Solly: 6.5 solid, worked well with marshall
Sarr: 6.5 got bullied by their 9 first half, better second
Konsa: 6.5 - not his best game, and same as Sarr
DaSilva: 7 - got up and down the left well, could do more going forward
Kashi: 7 - rattled their midfield, and broke up play well
Marshall: 8 - constant threat, strong and drove the whole team forward with his runs
Forster-Caskey: 8.5 - two well taken goals, and calm in possession,
Reeves: 7 - does a lot of unnoticed work with his movement and made their midfield drop 5 yard, good short passing and won 15+ fouls first half, not surprised he was taken off
Holmes: 6 - runs down blind alleys, rushes on the ball, odd flash of brilliance but how he has been compared to JBG is laughable
Magennis: 7 - different player second half, held the ball up and played a lovely ball out to marshall in build up to 2nd goal
Ahearne-Grant: 5 - good 5 mins, unlucky with header but too weak and anonymous

    DaSilva: 7
Kashi: 5 Possibly still struggling when we have Saturday + Tuesday fixtures.
Marshall: 7 Worked really hard and should hopefully be feeling a lot fitter now (if not this morning).
Forster-Caskey: 8 Very alert for both goals and just so consistent now.
Reeves: 6 Glimpses of his skill but still feeling his way.
    Holmes: 6
Ahearne-Grant: 6.5 Made a real difference at first and great to see him cross well with both feet but that header was painful.

Amos: 7 - Couldnt do anything about the goal but was solid for the rest of the evening
Solly: 7 - Really good performance, he's past the early season blip
Konsa: 6 - Got bullied by Calvin Andrew but will learn a lot from last night
Sarr: 7 - Solid match, a few shaky moments but doesnt scare me when he's on the ball anymore
Dasilva: 6 - Wasn't utilised too much; dealt with his winger well though
Kashi: 6 - Had his worrying moments again yet glad he was no where near the penalty area come injury time
Marshall: 7 - Worked well but could have passed a few times rather than shooting.
Forster-Caskey: 8 (MOTM) - Two really well taken goals, good to see him alert in those situations
Reeves: 5 - Was far too lightweight last night
Holmes: 6 - One of those games where he had no impact, the reverse will happen soon though, it always does
Magennis: 7.5 - Linked up with the Midfield extremely well
Ahearne-Grant: 7 - Much better from the youngster, drifted at times yet got into good positions

    Amos; 8.5 Two superb saves.
Solly: 7.5 He's been good last two home games.
Sarr: 7.5 Defended well, beautiful ball down the line in 1st half and a lovely cushioned lay off for JFC's first goal.
Konsa: 6 Didn't even go for any headers in the 1st half (he's got to sort that out). 2nd half was much better and started to attack the ball.
DaSilva: 7.5 Another good game. Very consistent.
Kashi: 7 Did plenty of good work and didn't get a lot of help in midfield in the last 10 minutes.
Marshall: 7 Did well when he was one on one. Crosses well. Struggled to pick up Rochdale's wide man late on.
Forster-Caskey: 7.5 Well done for the goals but faded 2nd half. Not as good as he was Saturday but great end product.
Reeves: 6 A couple of decent turns and should have been picked out in yards of space at the edge of the box 1st half (that's his danger area).
Holmes: 6 Loads of effort but it wasn't happening for him last night.
Magennis: 6.5 Did his best and at least gave Rochdale's defenders something to think about.
Ahearne-Grant: 6 Had a really good 15 minutes (looked lightning quick and showed good touch) and then faded out. At least his burst livened us up and got us going.
  • Options
Amos; 7.5 - great couple of saves
Solly: 7 - solid performance again
Sarr: 7 - strong in the air and good feet, was leading the back line. Felt comfortable when he moved to LB.
Konsa: 6 - terrible first half, ok second
DaSilva: 7 - another good game with some great defensive work - got closed down a lot on the ball
Kashi: 6.5 - decent, has the odd 'mystery pass' in him. Made one huge interception on the edge of our box. A Kashi '6.5' performance in this league is still very, very handy
Marshall: 7.5 - created chances out of nothing, way more end product than Saturday
Forster-Caskey: 8 - MOM. rewarded for getting in the right areas and won us the game
Reeves: 6 - technically good, crowded out, fouled and a bit of a headless chicken trying to make an impact
Holmes: 6 - harried but not much else
Magennis: 7 - a handful, better with his feet today (except when he fell over them) and helped create the winning goal
Ahearne-Grant: 6 - showed something in the 45mins, good pace and so nearly there with the header - marked down for his god-awful first touch and being a bit lightweight at times

    Bauer: n/a
    Aribo: n/a

Amos; 7 - as everyone says, some good saves, but what is his kicking doing? doesn't he practice it?
Solly: 8 - chased, harried, ran, some good positions and crosses.
Sarr: 8 solid bloke, nothing gets past him, really pleased for the guy.
    Konsa: 5...hmmmm
DaSilva: 7 good player, played well.
    Kashi: 5.5 disappointing,again.
Marshall: 6.5 - chased, can run fast, but where is he running to ? seems to think the corner flag has a red shirt on.
    Forster-Caskey: 7 extra 1 for the goals
Reeves: 5 didn't see him - did he play?
Holmes: 6.5 chased and ran , a bit like Marshall, runs into blind alleys without looking up.
Magennis: 6 - 5 for first half and 7 for second. I do have my concerns about him, I just don't think he's 1) that good in the air , 2) quick enough. Wont ever score 20 goals a season.
    Ahearne-Grant: 6 cameo , but didn't do badly tbh.

Again, breaking a promise to myself, but here goes...

Amos: 8 I prefer to remember the 2 "worldies" and diving in to retrieve the ball, and getting a good "shoeing", than the number of "Dean Kiely" kicks...

Solly: 6 Solid, if unspectacular, performance from Solls

Sarr: 7 Very good defensively. Imperious in the air, and tries to distribute. I particularly liked when he got hit hard in the 2nd half, and just got straight up and carried on. Is obviously a very nice fellow, and trying to impress the Charlton faithful, so, please, can we stop shouting "shooooooooooot!" every time he gets in the opponent's half? It would probably be better if he passes it on...

Konsa: 6 Did some very good things. Mistimes his jumps for the ball sometimes, which he means he gets under high balls, but will improve with experience. My biggest beef about Ezri is, for a big lad, he goes down very easily under any sort of challenge. He got a lot of fouls last night, but one day, a ref may say "play on", and with him on the floor, we could be in a lot of trouble...

DaSilva: 7 Did his job defensively, and much more of a threat in attack than his skipper at right back.

Kashi: 5.5 Bit of a curate's egg. Some passing wayward, but still good at breaking up attacks. A shot that surprised me, by NOT flying into row Z. Seemed to struggle towards the end.

Marshall: 7 Getting there. Very good attacking threat, and I like that he can (like Holmes) shoot with either foot. Ran out of steam at the end, but not surprising after so long out.

Forster-Caskey: 8 (MoTM) A real unsung hero. Does the dirty work in an unfussy way. Rarely wastes the ball in possession, and wins his fair share of tackles and headers. If he was more of a showman, would probably win POTS. One of my favourite players in the current squad.

Reeves: 5 I don't think it helps that in the last 2 games he has been subject to some robust challenges. However, the Dale goal came about, when he let a winger get past him, never got a challenge in, and couldn't get anywhere near him. Hopefully, those who have said they don't see what Billy Clarke brings to the side, now realise what a good job that he does cobbling this fluid formation together.

Holmes: 6.5 Too many cul-de-sacs run into, and his free kicks have gone off the boil, but his work rate and attacking threat cause no end of problems for opposition defenders.

Magennis: 7.5 The Josh we know is back. Clearly the NI potential was preying on him, even at the back of his mind. A real pest, and some great hold up play.

Ahearne-Grant: 5.5 I have a real problem marking KAG for this game. I can't really think of one thing that he did that was right, but there is no doubt that his introduction completely turned the game around, just with his energy.

KR: 9 He changed the game with his replacement of Reeves by KAG. Also told JFC to play farther forward, which meant we were more competitive in midfield. On the downside, probably stretched Kashi's stamina to the limit, as he had to cover more ground protecting the back 4. But the changes were adventurous, and attacking, which has to be a good thing.

Amos; 7 A couple of decent saves interspersed with some 'Deanos' in the windy conditions

    Solly: 7 Usual consistent performance

Sarr: 6.5 Looks awkward at times but overall decent at this level and his physical presence is a real plus in our little side. This time last year what price on Naby doing a tunnel jump?

Konsa: 6.5 Andrew gave him a lesson but he came through it. Maybe not quite yet Bertie Bigbollocks? More to learn if he stays with us

DaSilva: 6.5 Had his difficulties with Daniels but prevailed and looked good going forward on occasions

Kashi: 6.5 Reasonable but casual at times. Unlucky with his shot.

Marshall: 7.5 Lively and involved in most of our good attacking work as exemplified by JFC's second goal

Forster-Caskey: 8 Scored 2 goals and was as good as anyone else in general play. MOM

Reeves: 5.5 Anonymous and badly outpaced by their winger for their first goal

Holmes: 6.5 Quiet by his usual excellent standards

Magennis: 7.5 Put himself about and did well overall against some cynical defending

Ahearne-Grant: 7 Subs are supposed to have an impact and Karlan certainly managed that. Encouraging. If he gets that goal I think he'll push on.

Not sure about scores but for me Kashi and Konsa have been concerns for the last 2 games.

Kashi too many wayward passes conceding possession. I know KR said they are trying to get him to pass forward more often, I think the message should be just don't lose the ball. Not ignoring the so many other good things he does.

Konsa has looked to casual, like he's taking too many liberties, letting the ball bounce rather than deal with it, getting caught in possession. I would start Sarr and Bauer.

Reeves:6 struggled to make impact but was fouled on numerous occasions
Holmes:6 quiet game by Ricky's standard but still kept running.
Magennis:6.5 works hard but touch was shaky.

KAG needs a goal to kick on.

Amos: 8.5 - Think he's been one of the underrated stars of this season. Two world class saves to keep us in it. Kicking of a stationary ball still too inconsistent for me.

Solly: 6.5 - Not great, not terrible. One of them many players who could probably have done better for the first goal. Didn't offer a whole lot going forward.

Sarr: 7.5 - This is going to be a common theme: first half not great, second half markedly better. Another who could have done better on the goal. Said this on Saturday and think it bears repeating, he sometimes relies on his physical abilities to get him out of trouble. But, second half he was much better, much more conservative. It's rare that I'll call for a center back to hoof it into touch, I'm more of a "take a touch or two then do a Cruyff turn to start an attack" type. But it's clear he's learning when to just put it out of play, when, in this league, it's not worth mucking about. Assist.

Konsa: 7 - Good second half. Really poor first half, and once again a goal seemed to really rattle him and Sarr. But it's clear that in the second half he came out up for it and really got stuck in with Calvin Andrews who is a classic lower league forward.

DaSilva: 7.5 - He's a bit good, isn't he? It's weird that someone who is 19/20 is so consistent. His cross lead to the opening goal.

Kashi: 8 - That's more like it fella. Could probably have done better for the goal--got caught too high up the pitch, but in the second half especially he was everywhere, buzzing about and pressing and hunting in packs with JFC and Marshall. Unlucky not to score from a well taken shot. When he scores his first of the season I'll probably lose my mind.

Marshall: 7.5 - Muuuuuuuuch better. In the second half in particular he was absolutely buzzing about, pressing really well, and causing them problems. I thought he made the wrong decision a couple times, but he's clearly dangerous going forward, and will be even moreso when he finds his shooting boots.

Forster-Caskey: 9 - So happy for him. He's a class above in this league, and he's in a role where he really does all the dirty work. He has incredible stamina. In the first half he was caught too far away from Kashi at times, but the second half they were much better (helped by playing a tighter, higher line). Two fantastic poacher's finishes and he's now on 5 goals, two of which have been winners.

Reeves: 5.5 - Think some of the criticisms of him have been way over the top. That said, he wasn't very effective. I suspect he was still carrying a knock from Saturday. He is a very good player at this level, he just needs to get up to speed.

Holmes: 6.5 - Feel like he had an uncharacteristically quiet game.

Magennis: 7.5 - Worked incredible hard as per usual. Drew numerous fouls but apparently persistent fouling isn't a bookable offense in this league. Hit the top of the net with a nice curled effort.

Ahearne-Grant: 7.5 - Good for him, all that was missing was the goal. Hassled and harried and looked to drive at them really well. Had just a little bit of swagger about him. If that Karlan can turn up week in, week out things will start falling for him and he'll look like a solid member of this squad.
