That’s horrible. Leukaemia is a hideous disease. I’ve mentioned on here before about my stepfather who died of it two years ago. He could very easily have been a ‘dead within a week of diagnosis’ story too - but was miraculously brought back from the brink when first diagnosed. The incredible medical staff and a bone marrow donation managed to buy him another two years before he finally succumbed. If there’s anything I got from the experience, it’s a rekindled respect for medical professionals and appreciation for donors. This can happen to anyone. So please sign up to be a bone marrow donor. Some bloke in Yorkshire extended my stepdad’s life and doesn’t even know it. What a hero.
Blimey that is quick. I guess the only positive you can say is that at least it's not a long lingering death. Does make it harder on the loved ones though - no time to come to terms
So now it's RIP's for relatives of minor celebrities? Whilst no one would decry the family's grief this is surely a bit too far.
I know your not mocking or downgrading whats happened but I think its just horrible for anyone to have to endure this whether they're celebrities or not
No one should have to endure this yet only finding out the news three days prior to it happening must be even worse as the couples dont have any time to prepare etc.

Good one.....Probably best to keep your thoughts to yourself and not comment on an RIP thread, if you are going to say something like that.
Where then?
What are you on about?
If you feel so strongly about it, start a new thread. I’m sure the Thomas family don’t check in on CL, but still think it disrespectful and needless to pass comment like you did.
I think this thread was started as the actual death, and how quick it was, is just shocking. Add on top of that the fact that an 8 year old has lost a parent and the widower is somebody that as football fans is somebody we all recognise, it becomes something that effects us. So @iainment that is why it is on here and probably why your response has annoyed everyone.

RIP Gemma Thomas.
I can't imagine trying to deal with it, hope for the best for him and his son.
RIP.
