Solly out tonight too and no one back, so I guess same team as at Scunthorpe but with Dijksteel in at right back...
The injury list and the ridiculous decision not to sign a striker, despite getting Novak, Ajose, Watt and Vetokele off the books one way or another, could really derail the promising start
The Addicks’ injury list will not be any shorter ahead of the match and Robinson also admitted that an additional name could be added to it.
He said: “No one is back and Chris Solly could be out. He’s another one to add to the list and joins Pearcey, Tariqe, Clarkey, Reevesy and Pagey.
The nicknames thing must be tongue in cheek - no one would seriously reel off a list of names and just add "-ey" to the end of each one surely?
Wasnt the story in Curbishley’s time that they added an ‘s’ to the short version of a name so that Curbishley was Curbs, Mortimer was Morts , and so on except for Danny Shittu who was Big Dan

Not to worry, Best was signed by last Monday
Well I'm blowed, who'd a thought it, Best kept secret ever
Welcome to the madhouse Leon, good luck and start banging the goals in at the earliest opportunity.
Why so many injuries yet again? Is the level normal compared with other League 1 clubs? Is the problem the training regime, the medical support, the injury prone players that we sign, motivation to stay fit, bad luck or something else?
Honestly, I prefer Konsa to Solly at right back at the minute. Not as good 1-v-1 defender obviously, but offers more going forward including the ability to really drive at teams with pace, and his recovery pace can help us defend better as a team.
Agree that I think Aribo should come in to the side. He played as a 10 last year and looked good. He's not as tactically disciplined as JFC so perhaps playing him there would help him out, and it would give JFC support for when he makes those bursts forward into the box.
If Aribo does come in to the side I expect it at times to look like a 4-1-4-1/4-3-3. We'll have a lot of defensive cover and technical ability in midfield so possession will be key, as will getting the fullbacks forward to support the attack.
If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
