Chris Powell: Guest/pundit on the Totally Football Show

Sir Chris was a pundit on yesterday's show. No Charlton-specific content really, but good to hear his views on a few bits and pieces. Seemed very gracious when asked about Huddersfield, wishes them well.

One shocking revelation though - his favourite player to watch at the moment: Wilfred Zaha. (Puke emoji)

I was aware mate and he got a bit of a slagging form another forum as to how far he had fallen from grace, short memories some people. Anyway he scored a great winner against your lot at WHL back in the 00's, so no grudges against him then

Yeah it seems crazy that he would needs to do a spot of weekend scouting to keep his eye in.. why are there not loads of clubs after him in the second or third tier?

I guess in the world of football, whilst being a thoroughly nice bloke and all that, they don't think he's as good a coach/manager as we do ?

True professional unlike me in a role reversal had I been playing for Spurs v Charlton and I had a goal scoring opportunity I'd have skied it no problem

Phil Parkinson did scouting for Arsenal before taking the Bradford job & Kenny Jackett was the youth team coach at Spurs last season.

The turnaround at Huddersfield since he left and Wagner took over has probably affected his reputation a bit...
