I can almost see the post-match report now ... 'Loads of possession but nothing up front... Southend knock in a couple - one most likely near the end - while Charlton were pushing for an equaliser'.... now why does that scenario sound so familiar? Oh well, onwards and upwards, Merry Xmas one and all.
I'd be very surprised if we manage to bear you. We are awful in attack and can't defend. This could be the last straw for a lot of our fans. A heavy defeat and the crowd will be baying for Phil Brown's head.
We are not good enough to trouble any more than the top 12.
Reeves is a waste of space. Aribo is stronger and on form. He should play 10.
Have to agree with you there mate. Reeves and Marshall were supposedly our two marque signings but they have failed to deliver so far. I would pick Aribo over Reeves and when fit Fosu over Marshall.

Oh well. 4-1 it is then.
We dont tend to score more then one goal a game so you will be alright
Always interesting to visit the oppositions forum and get their view. One stood out to me and I find it funny how on paper it makes our midfield sound like Man Citys, post below:
'Looks likely to be a big sell out day and cracking occasion. Sadly I wont be able to make this one owing to family commitments but I have a trio of erstwhile family tribal fanatics turning up in my stead. On paper we should struggle given current situation and Charlton being stronger and wealthier than us in most departments. However you could have said that for the opener against Blackburn I hope all their attacking midfielders arent available as Holmes as scored 6 from 21 games, Ahearne Grant 3 from 9 starts, Ben Reeves 4 from 8 starts, Fosu Henry 7 from 17 starts and Forster Caskey 5 from 23. Thats a group of midfielders who have already knocked in 25 goals from 68 starts between them. Still as long as we have Wordy, Mc Glashen, Wright and Mc Laughlin, patrolling and defending midfield , no worries ???? Have a great day and may Rons wishes, and all supporters dreams come true and another Blackburn like performance is supported from the rafters'

Reeves is getting better and better. Should never have been subbed on Sat....I genuinely think we would have seen out the victory had we kept our best players on the pitch. Blackpool couldnt get the ball off him.
It's getting to the point where I'm losing interest. Obviously I want us to win today but I'm not expecting it and that hurts. Unless something remarkable happens, we're destined for another season in the third division. It won't be long before the better players are angling for a move to a Championship team or one more likely to get promoted there.
I need the takeover to happen so I can get to home games and reconnect with the team.

2-1 to the Shrimpers
Defenders can't defend
Midfield can't tackle
Essential basics at all levels of football.
2.1 shrimpers

1 - 1 (KAG).
Charlton get a red card too.
