Kashi rumoured to be being monitored by Metz

Ligue 1 club Metz are keen to re-sign Ahmed Kashi in the summer.

The Charlton midfielder’s deal runs out in six months’ time, and he is likely to leave if the Addicks fail to win promotion to the Championship this season.

And News Shopper has been told Metz, the club Kashi left to join the Addicks, are waiting in the wings.

The Algeria international, 29, has endured an injury-ravaged spell since moving to the Valley in 2015. Serious achilles problems have ruined his last two campaigns.

  • gone in the summer cya!
  • In other news... Rain is wet!!

Really not surprised by this move, no way is he staying if we dont go up and we're not going up... Being a foreign player its no surprise that his Agent will already be speaking to other clubs and would be shocked if he ends up anywhere other than France or the Middle East
  • If Roland is still here come the summer we will be truely in the dirt.
  • I thought this was an Acworth-instigated rumour picked up from FaceAche...
  • Would be gutted to see him go but can't see him staying if we're in this league. Not a whole lot to see hher.
  • Metz is my local French Premier club. A colleague supports Metz but he said this is the first he's heard of this, and would be surprised if he were to come back.

It’s like vultures picking meat off the bones of a dead animal .
  • I was told on Tuesday evening that Kashi had " personal problems".

Allegedly, when he went "somewhere" ( in the Middle East?) for prolonged treatment last season, it was because he felt this would be the best course of action for him.

However, our late CEO refused to pay for this .....

Now, whether she had agreed beforehand or whether it was never agreed is unknown but clearly the player is very unhappy with the decision.

Not sure I ever would have said this, but she was probably right. That situation was ridiculous.

With our record of treating injuries under this regime, can you really blame him?

It's not unusual, Richard Rufus had the same issue and so did Curbs when he played for us.

This was rumoured at the time, I vaguely remember a thread on it, he was annoyed because treatments over here weren't working so went to ASPETAR, the FIFA Accredited specialists.
