Ligue 1 club Metz are keen to re-sign Ahmed Kashi in the summer.
The Charlton midfielder’s deal runs out in six months’ time, and he is likely to leave if the Addicks fail to win promotion to the Championship this season.
And News Shopper has been told Metz, the club Kashi left to join the Addicks, are waiting in the wings.
The Algeria international, 29, has endured an injury-ravaged spell since moving to the Valley in 2015. Serious achilles problems have ruined his last two campaigns.

Really not surprised by this move, no way is he staying if we dont go up and we're not going up... Being a foreign player its no surprise that his Agent will already be speaking to other clubs and would be shocked if he ends up anywhere other than France or the Middle East
Allegedly, when he went "somewhere" ( in the Middle East?) for prolonged treatment last season, it was because he felt this would be the best course of action for him.
However, our late CEO refused to pay for this .....
Now, whether she had agreed beforehand or whether it was never agreed is unknown but clearly the player is very unhappy with the decision.
