Great result! I was pleasantly surprised when I checked the result later. I have to admit I stopped checking in with 3 overs to go as thought it so unlikely they'd win! Bigger fool me! Looking good as 4 points ahead of Surrey in fifth

Surprised the weather held for both us and the England match, I was expecting another 2 points for no result!

Is it 2 or 1 point for a no result? And 2 points for a win?

    Me too.

Played for Beckenham today at home, never expected 70 overs interrupted .

We won. Good day all round for cricket for me. Top scored as well.

England, Kent, Beckenham - happy day

Sorry 1 point for a no result!

Bit weird that Sussex still have 3 matches to play, they play Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, but our NRR is much better so as long as we win one match we should qualify

That was a really good game yesterday, first time for me at Beckenham. Thankfully the weather never got worse than a splatter of rain during the game.
  • Anyone have any idea why darren stevens isn't getting a look in at all?? Would've made sense to put him in for the injured stoinis. Like for like replacement, instead they went for Crawley which made absolutely no sense.

Could be carrying an injury that now needs rest.

He's been playing for St Lawrence but not bowling.

I don't have a list, but Stevens has played 3 games for St Lawrence this season; Matt Coles (ex Kent I know) has turned out five times for The Mote this year; Alex Blake plays for Beckenham; James Tredwell is a Folkestone player when not injured (one game in 2018) and now umpiring while recuperating; David Masters is captaining Upchurch while Dan Masters now plays back at Lordswood; Amjad Khan and Yasir Arafat play for Bromley; Sean Dickson has played 3 games for Lordswood this year; DBD has had one game for Blackheath; Adam Riley plays regularly for Bexley; Zak Crawley plays for Sevenoaks Vine; Matt Hunn plays for Sandwich as does Grant Stewart; Ivan Thomas also plays for Blackheath.

I'm not sure of anyone else?

Adam Rouse has been playing for Sevenoaks Vine as a batsman I believe.

    Thanks.

Imagine this in football, playing for a local club to get your fitness back.

As in customary when Kent play at Canterbury, the weather tomorrow looks fairly unsettled. It's quite uncanny how Canterbury seems to catch rain on matchdays, while being dry for the rest of the week!
  • Looking at table another NR point would secure qualification

Effectively yes, as Glamorgan's NRR is so much worse than ours
  • Yeah that was my thinking. As a long suffering Kent fan I'll start the rain dance now, as although the permutations to knock us down to 5th are extreme you just know we'll do things the hard way!!!

    NOOOOOOO!

Have just taken a chance & purchased our tickets online for this one as we can't get to Chelmsford on Friday.

The weather does look unsettled but seems to indicate light showers during the day with sunny interludes and then brightening up around 5pm.....

    We live in hope.

Kent Somerset game is on the box tomorrow.

Going to be a tough game tomorrow. Somerset have destroyed most of the teams they have played recently. But the bowling and batting of Kent in this T20 has been superb and I would back them against anyone in this league.

Kent have won the last 9 T20 blast games against Somerset. Somerset do look a much better team this year mind.
  • Serious question, guys, especially if you live closer to Canterbury than we do.

We have tickets but should we go or should we stay (home)?

Head says no, but heart says yes.....
