Story from BBC Cambridgeshire:
Peterborough United owner Darragh MacAnthony says striker Ricky Miller is "driving me mad" by turning down chances to leave the League One club.
Miller, 28, joined from Dover last summer but has not scored in 13 games.
"It hasn't worked out, we see value in him, all these clubs see value in him," MacAnthony told BBC Cambridgeshire.
"He'd prefer a move closer to home - typical footballers - but I'm not willing to do that, the club closer to home isn't even competing financially.
"Ricky's turned down about five different clubs. He's turning loads of them down and it's driving me mad because he's not going to get game time here.
"If he's going to base it on geography and whatever else he's in the wrong industry - if you're going to base moves on geography being a football player, don't play football."
Charlton fit the criteria for "the club closer to home"
1. We need a CF
2. We are not competing financially
3. He cannot hit a cow's arse with a banjo at Div One level. Just the type of striker we like to sign.

Where exactly is closer to home for him? In the last 5 years he's been at Boston, Luton, Dover and Peterborough?
He's not scored in 13 games - but he's still being picked.
Take the rough with the smooth sunshine.
Good for him
Ball then goes up the other end and KAG gets the equaliser.
Utter bollocks from the owner. I'm sure Miller isn't the first and certainly won't be the last to base any potential move on geography. Just this week Sturridge signed for West Brom over Newcastle so he could be nearer family in the midlands.
The owner/chairman/manager whatever, was stupid enough to give the bloke a 3 year contract. He’s spent most of his career slugging it in non-league football, he’s within every right to dictate what happens to him whilst he’s on a contract. He’s not getting any younger and is looking for the best decision for his family. How anyone can put blame at the players feet in all this is a joke.
If he's worth a punt.
About time we bought ankle biters not crochet champions.
And most of the players you've mentioned are plucked from non league and then sold on at a decent profit, that's how they survive, which is a pretty good base for running a club to be honest.

Maybe the Peterboro Chairman should try a similar tactic.
Peterborugh's MO for years has been to sign 2-4 non league strikers cheaply or on a free and see if they come good. No doubt Miller signed for decent wages as he was free and hot property. If they're not sending him on loan to lower leagues, like they usually do, clearly there is serious misgivings about him: either talent or temperament. Not to be touched unless you got him on loan and even then a League 2 club, as for us Good God No No No......
Here McAnthony is so transparent. He wants rid before the court case. Yet surely he can sack him if the court case goes against Miller? Why would anyone else take him? Is he just putting pressure on so he can save 3 months of wages? Seems like it would be just simpler loaning him like they usually do.
Should just accept the lower bid and get rid.
May well have taught this other bloke everything he knows.
