You can’t stop a part timer leaving for a full time contract but can understand Croydon are gutted Kit has left them.
19 years ago. Disbanded since then and started over. cafc Women are fighting against teams with tons more funding yet continue to punch above their weight and this is a big blow
I suppose I should support the team as the franchise team was disbanded when the men’s team got relegated from prem but if they are totally separate from Roland and the men’s team what makes them ‘charlton’ ?
Kit Graham has signed for Spurs despite being under contract at cafc and against the wishes of the club ?
Bizarre situation.
Sets a dangerous precedent too for the integrity of the wider women's game and the survival of non WSL clubs if their best players can be poached just like that

Why don’t you have a look, or perhaps ask them yourself, seeing as it bothers you so much?

what a stupid statement to make, the current CAFCW team and their management have absolutely nothing to do with the change from Croydon to Charlton which happened years before the inception of the current team
The club is disappointed that the FA have agreed to register Kit Graham with another club while she remains under a contract of employment with Charlton Athletic Women.
In the absence of any financial agreement to release her from her contract, we are considering what the appropriate course of action should be.
Surely an irregularity that needs investigation and action?
No one would begrudge Kit Graham the chance to turn full-time professional ..... but it does appear that Spurs has totally railroaded the legalities of contract law.
If Spurs are allowed to set a precedent, there's nothing to stop any club poaching contracted players.
It does seem odd by the FA, they would have had I assume a copy of her Charlton Contract when she was registered 12 months ago, time will see how it plays out, but suspect Charlton will get some compensation, whether it's enough or realistic who knows, not sure what a transfer fee for such a player would be, but not going to be a 6 figure sum.
Kits a great player and has been a great servant to Charlton, I think those involved will be disappointed she's left but also will wish her well,
Good idea re sponsorship, seems to be off the back of the men’s sponsorship thread. I’m still keen for us to chip in collectively as Charlton life, rather than just make a small donation anonymously... I think it makes more of a statement.
Disappointed for Charlton but Kit Graham with full time training could improve another 50% Only time will tell if she can adapt but she is a great goal scorer and at 23 could still go higher in the game than Spurs.
What with the FA Player now available (a free service showing all Super League and select Championship games) I noticed that there will be a few Charlton games on there coming up
Saturday 12th October: Charlton Women v Aston Villa Women @ 3pm (International Break) Sunday 17th November: Charlton Women v Leicester City Women @ 2pm Sunday 24th November: London Bees v Charlton Women @ 2pm
Villa have a 100% record and showed their supremacy today. Fitter, faster and stronger.
We are very much hurting from losing our 3 main attacking options and being left behind on the financial front. Shame that as the women’s game is growing at a fantastic rate it is being split once again between the “haves” and the “have nots”. Looks like we need to punch above our weight again.....and as everyone knows we do do that well ;-)
Hi All
The BBC story has now been updated with the statement from the club. There is a lot more to this story than is being reported but as talks remain ongoing with The FA it's not something which we can currently say more on.
Charlton Athletic Women have reviewed all information received from the FA, including medical regulations and from a subsequent inspection visit that covered medical equipment provision in late 2018.
Our policy is always to comply with the requirements placed upon us and we would never make a conscious decision to fail to hold what is deemed as essential medical equipment.
As this stage we as a club can't comment more (so we won't reply to any other posts on this) but we ask fans stick with us as there are still factors to the reason why oxygen wasn't present which are still on going with ourselves and The FA. This may take several weeks to resolve but so Charlton fans are aware as the statement has been updated since it originally went out, we would never make a conscious decision to fail to hold what is deemed as essential medical equipment. Thank you all for your support and most importantly Charlotte remains recovering well.
Have the reasons why there was no oxygen present at this game been released yet? It's been several months now, let alone weeks.

Seems strange this post was never followed up.
Can't say much on this now, but there's a key paragraph (6) in this story. Our statement remains correct that we would never make a conscious decision to fail to hold what is deemed as essential medical equipment

Thank you to all fans who came and supported us and we hope everyone including those who sadly couldn't make it do come and support us at another game this season.
Villa are a strong side. They have had major investment from their men's side and you can see the difference emerging from full time and part time clubs. Our budget is the smallest in the league (by some way as well) and I don't think it's seen how much we need to get more fans through the turnstiles to raise the money not only to compete in the Championship but to long term survive.
Despite the result we hope we showcased a good game of football and that most importantly people enjoyed themselves.

"BBC Sport has also seen medical documents sent to clubs at the start of the season, which are inconsistent with those from which they have been charged."

No trace of Croydon for about 15 years in Charlton woman since Richard Murray pulled the plug and that team were disbanded.
But since then, Charlton dropped the women’s team completely.
The new team team have a completely separate identity and are therefore purely a Charlton side.
Anyway, whether we are part time or not, if a contract isn’t worth the paper it’s written on, what’s the point?
It needs sorting.
cafc Women are fighting against teams with tons more funding yet continue to punch above their weight and this is a big blow
But surely, as you say, a contract should mean something!! Sad to see her leave acrimoniously.
Surely an irregularity that needs investigation and action?

That'd do given I won't be sticking round for long afterwards with little un in tow.
Villa had a lot more about them, their striker who scored a hat trick looked very good.
