Believe the U21s/PGA were due to play a friendly against Dulwich Hamlet (senior team) yesterday, no idea if it went ahead or result
There's nothing on the PGA X feed to suggest a game was played or even planned.
No but a Dulwich Hamlet player said it on the Guardian Football Weekly pod. I suspect it's all a bit hush hush behind closed doors so we won't hear about it but it's good to see them playing against proper adults. Just like the boys academy playing in the London Senior Cup
Getting well beaten by one of the best women's teams in the world now unfortunately. I expected as much when I saw a starting XI including Bronze, Reiten, James and Ramirez
Honestly with the team they put out it could have been much worse. We're without our best defender and we know how big the gulf is. Nothing to be ashamed of there
Certainly over 100 in the away section of the seats. At a guess maybe about 120 or so. Back when we used to play at Thamesmead that wouldn't have been out of the ordinary as a home attendance.
Nothing to be ashamed of at all - as mentioned above the first half was competitive (it helped that Chelsea seemed bewildered for the first 15 minutes after realising this wasn't warm-weather training) but we fell away after the first goal. You could see where Chelsea have bought themselves a world-class side and are European champions, while we are second-tier scrappers, but we gave a decent account of ourselves. Thought Jess Gray was immense in goal during that first half.
Third home club I've seen at Kingsmeadow after Kingstonian and AFC Wimbledon, and odd to see the place decked out in blue rather than K's red - it doesn't look like Chelsea have done much to the place other than change the colour scheme and change the east stand into a massive dugout. Strange experience to enter the rarefied world of the WSL too - Chelsea had a bloke in a jesters' hat trying to gee up the home fans and it all felt a bit flat, even if it was bloody freezing.
