3 decisions which all went against Liverpool which is why there is such an outcry, although under present interpretations may all be right.
1. The Lovren touch. Certainly used to be a definite offside as was offside when played. Seems maybe not now. However it also seemed the referee and assistant weren't really sure whether there was a touch but gave it anyway. 2. The Kane fall. I think replays have shown that there was a slight a touch, not enough for him to go down naturally. Kane himself said that he felt a touch so went down. So a dive but still a penalty as there was a touch. Referees have got to the stage that they won't give a penalty unless a player goes over. 3. The final penalty. The player deliberately got in the way of Van Dyke's rising knee but forcing contact is an accepted way to get free kicks these days so probably should be a penalty. However I must doze off for all those times at the Valley when a free kick should be awarded within yards of the assistant let alone when it is near the goal. Or perhaps theses rules only apply in the Premier!
