Not a bad night at all. We are right in the mix.

Is 12 points from 7 going to be enough?

Before Sunderland, many were saying we were fighting for 1 place. Now there are definitely 3 places.
  • So on a scale of 1-10 how do we all feel the results went for us tonight?
7/10 - Oxford winning doesnt bother me, Lincoln winning pisses me off because of COVID etc.

Accrington missing that penalty takes from 8/10 though, although cant really complain as Portsmouth equally missed one

Decent night for us considering we could have expected Lincoln & Oxford winning and the other results went for us.

We could do without Lincoln winning.

But other than that, the results of have gone pretty well for us tonight.

7 out of 10, which is decent

Unlikely. I think we need to win at least 5 of the 7.

Never going to achieve a perfect night, but think we should be mostly happy with tonight. 3 points against Ipswich on Saturday will make it a great week overall.

If Innis stays fit we're in with a good chance.

FT at Crewe... 0-0 with Portsmouth!!

    That'll do for me
Excellent result. 1 point out of 6 and suddenly Pompey look catchable again
While Blackpool have 2 out of 6

It shows that you can't look too far ahead, a couple of sloppy draws and it'll be us struggling to make the playoffs again

win on Saturday, five points above Ipswich, and the momentum of being the form team ... it's in our hands ... which seemed impossible a few weeks ago

After tonight’s game, form table is still looking good!

Another good set of results, it is opening up nicely for us. However I feel the need to point out that it is "sliver of hope", not slither which is what snakes do. Sorry!
  • Dont want to be in this league if Burton keep JFH next season!!

Blackpool play Sunderland on Saturday ..... and then again, within 10 days.

Both teams can't win and points must be dropped by one or even both teams.

I think it is a great night.  Beat Ipswich this weekend and that is them done for and whilst we fall behind Oxford, if we win v Ipswich and beat Crewe and if Blackpool were to beat a faltering Sunderland then all of a sudden ALL of the play off places would be targetable.

Of course a shame that Lincoln and Oxford won and Blackpool didn't let in a pen but Sunderland losing, Pompey and Blackpool drawing and Ipswich/Donny losing is 100% a very good night.

If we keep winning one of those playoff teams will bottle it and it will be a race between us and Oxford to the finish.

We are right in the mix and in form. It's in our hands. Take each game as it comes and win them all! Play offs are on. You just know it's gonna be Sunderland again!!

Burton play Lincoln, on Tuesday next week.

Hull City v Sunderland that night also.

Hull v Lincoln, a few days later.

How important to Ipswich is Harrop? Big loss for the weekend?

Could do with two 0-0s between Sunderland and Blackpool.

    Then Sunderland play Hull.

If we get our results, Sunderland could be within reach for us.

We shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves though.

You know ..... one game at a time.
And see where that takes us.

Not really. Most he’s played this year is 70 minutes once. Rest is 1 to 45 minute cameos.

No-one has games in hand over us now, and we are still only three points from playoffs.

It's been a great two weeks for us.

With our goal difference it's effectively 4.

don't have to catch everyone, surely best for Sunderland to beat any other play off contenders.

That's a shame: hopefully they're all knackered from playing with 10 men for 60+ minutes

As Adkins said the other week, 'control the controllable'. Let's focus on winning our games first.

Don't forget, it's now our turn to have games in hand ......  right now, we've 2 in hand over Oxford, level on points.
