Bailey can’t play for England. The rumor has probably done the rounds as he’s got two grandparents with British passports but neither were born in England so that rules him out.

He could only have played for Belgium or Germany due to residence but he wasn’t in Belgium long enough and won’t have been in Germany long enough until 2025, so Jamaica it is then

    Paulie after reading the above

He's a very good, tricky, pacey player. Would be a good addition to just about any squad bar Germany.
  • Looks like he's very limited who he can play for...

Just the country where he's from!

In which case I'm glad he can't play for England. Grandparents being born in the county should be the minimum requirement.....there should be no place for qualifying under residency rules either IMO.....

Personally I feel that grandparents is too far back anyway, it seems ridiculous to be eligible to play for a country you've never lived in based on one grandparent

Agreed - country of either parent or the land you were born in.

So can he or can he not? Bundesliga site says yes, some bloke on a random forum on which that whole talkSPORT article is based says no...

Seen he gave Jamaica 10 days to convince him not to snub them for England.

I thought he couldn't play for England
