Saw Decker retired this weekend, leaves the Pats woefully short on receivers, losing Mitchell, Amendola and Cooks, and Edelman is out of the first 4 games too.

    Shame.
  • Just finished watching QB1 on Netflix. Really enjoyed it. Amazing how big high school football is in some places

Planning on watching that soon. Big fan of Last Chance U.

Watching it now and bloody hell, they really put a lot of money into school sports over there. I suppose it's partly the product of having all sport going through schools rather than academies and extracurricular outlets.
  • Aaron Rodgers is getting PAID. $134m four-year extension, $103m of that in guarantees. Best in the business though.
  • Mychal Kendricks due to serve 8-12 months in prison for insider trading.

And, of course, because this is a crime the owners know all about, he'll get fucked over way more than those who beat their partners, or who obstructed justice when two men died.
  • Raiders want two first round picks

  • Khalil Mack is now a Bear. Wow. Raiders just gave up the Defensive Player of the Year.
  • That kind of trade where one side is going to end up looking very silly.
  • http://www.theacc.com/watch/?id=143466 Here’s a free, official stream to the second half of a college football game if anything is looking for something to watch this evening. Bit of a blowout with Clemson being one of the best in the country and Furman a very small time school. Clemson have 2 highly rated QBs, Kel Bryant and Trevor Lawrence, Lawrence is said to be one of the best quarterback talents EVER at his age so worth keeping an eye on. Will almost definitely be a star in the NFL in not too long.

Right now it feels like the Raiders, big loss.

Oh, no. It will absolutely be the Raiders. How this trade is being viewed as anything other than a monumental fuck up by (presumably) Gruden (who I think has thrown Reggie McKenzie under the bus a bit) I do not know.

Chicago has the better end of the deal here: a generational talent for two picks. Yes, there's a lot of money involved, but I'd rather lock down such a good, known quantity pass rusher than gamble on it in the draft.
  • We could have just about maybe got away with it if we hadn't also included a 2nd rounder along with Mack.

what a gamble - I know they are paying out on Carr but sheesh.

Our defence ranked about 25th last season with Mack so expect us to ship loads of (fantasy) points this season.

Terrible secondary for many seasons in a row. Without QB pressure, they will give up 4500+ yards and 30tds passing this year.

But it is the Bears, so there’s a good chance both sides end up looking silly.

The Raiders are sticking a middle finger up at their fanbase and writing off the next couple of seasons. I hope they fail spectacularly in Las Vegas.
  • Great start if you had Ajayi! Less good if you had Devonta Freeman... But it all balances out I suppose eh

  • Eagles need Wentz and Jeffery back fast. Tough game to watch that one.
  • Also anyone heard from @Bigbadbozman - he doesn't have a kicker, and while it's nice that I might end up with a W this week, he's been inactive for three weeks?

Hope all's well etc (except for me hopefully getting a big win in fantasy)
  • Hi All just to let you know that this weekend the British American Football Finals are on youtube this weekend Prem is on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday the Kent Exiles are playing in the Division 1 final. Please do check them out if you get a chance

  • My prediction for Sunday Bengals 35 Colts 10. Bengals to sack Luck at least 5 times.

My mate/ work colleague, used to play for them, as a WR. I took my brother there (eltham way i think) when he was younger around 5 years ago, was surprised at the quality considering it gets no coverage over here.

Its amazing the way the team have developed when I think back to the days of the Tonbridge Tigers (original exiles) when I played. We were utter shite to be honest, 30 years later and they are going to be in the Prem next season regardless. Kudos to Dave Pester who has been with the club throughout

I have had a bit of an exile lately (pun intended) last couple of years not really followed, but this year will make the effort again to try and follow. Might mean i go and watch a Kent Exiles game at some point, fingers crossed they can make it into the Premiership that would be a great achievement!

Played WR for the Exiles youth back in't day, even went up to play for GB in Edinburgh - Dave Pester was our youth HC back then. Great to hear they're doing well - when I'm back home I'll try and catch a game
  • Horrible game to watch last night. Turned off at half time.
