If England still had a chance in the 6 nations, I'd be pretty tempted to bunk off too. Especially as I'm more nervous about the Huddersfield Palace match than our match today!
Some good news about Mav, targeting Plymouth for his return. Kashi is farther along than I expected he would be, which is good because we desperately miss both of them. Even having them back for the Easter set of games would really help.
That said, Solly's injury doesn't sound good.
Apologies if this was already posted, I didn't see it.
Head of Medical Services Alastair Thrush provides the latest from the treatment room, ahead of Saturday's game against Fleetwood Town.
Chris Solly will see an orthopaedic knee specialist next week to gain further information on the injury he sustained at Blackpool on Tuesday night.
The Addicks full-back injured in his right knee when blocking a cross against Blackpool, which has aggravated a long-standing injury. Solly had an MRI scan on Thursday and the specialist will be able to provide more detailed information on the potential rehabilitation timescales.
Lewis Page sustained a head injury against Blackpool and will not be eligible for selection against Fleetwood Town on Saturday. Page will undergo the mandatory six-stage return to play protocol. He should return to full training next week and could be ready for selection for Charlton's match against Plymouth Argyle on March 24th.
Another player targeting the Plymouth match is Stephy Mavididi. The Arsenal loanee will return to training next week, having completed a spell of rehabilitation on his hamstring injury at his parent club Arsenal.
Before he can be considered for match selection, Mavididi will require a re-integration period to allow him to adjust to the full intensity of training.
Goalkeeper Dillon Phillips is set to integrate back into training next week as the final part of his recovery from his high ankle sprain.
Jay Dasilva is continuing his rehabilitation on an ankle injury at his parent club Chelsea. Ahmed Kashi has begun running outside again and will progress on to some football-specific drills next week. Both players will require a couple more weeks of rehabilitation before targeting their return to training.
Sullay Kaikai is back in full training and Billy Clarke is still progressing with his long-term rehabilitation on his ACL knee injury.
Hoping for a Charlton win to punish me for choosing to stay in the warm and watch the rugby. Although in partial mitigation my arthritis isn't great and given that my seat was built for a midget (something you only fully appreciate when in pain) attending would be a bit of an endurance test notwithstanding the football!
Yes of course I will be there as will many with no expectation of anything but a loss or a turgid draw. But you never know for certain and it is at times like these that the team sometimes steps up and puts on a fantastic performance and it is in the ever so faint hope that this may happen that a lot of us go. Its mad but there we are; we’re all a bit mad some of the time; its that feeling of grabbing a victory out of the jaws of defeat. That said 1-3 loss.
As I feared my lack affinity to a bunch of powder puff footballers with no pride in themselves or character has won out and I am going to stay in the warm today. I got a bit angry when Robbo mentioned some players being out of contract - in my simple mind it is a reason to play better not an excuse for not caring! Why should I pay to watch a bunch of losers?
Same formation, vindicates my decision not to go. Might get a narrow win against a struggling side, but that isn't going to help us get into the play offs. Would be better to see Robbo can revise his system, which we know he can't.
There is, on one view, something incongruous about getting a train from Twickenham Station at 11am to watch Charlton v Fleetwood. That said, we have just had a cosseted two hours in the Plume of Feathers, with Bexley Brewery, ham, egg and chips and a very good Italy v Scotland 6 Nations match.
It’s all downhill from here. I had hoped for a snow covered pitch and the orange but a freezing wind and the lowest Saturday crowd of the season is all we have to look forward to - at least until we get back to the Sussex Arms for the St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
Fleetwood have three things going for them: something to play for (an indictment of our lot), a new manager and extensive experience of icy winds of the Irish Sea.

And still some say there is no need to protest about the current ownership. Unbelievable.
