Rovers reckon their Play-Off hopes are over, with a number of senior players out, they'll be relying on their U23s
Clarke has done a fine job there, good to see an unheralded young manager doing well and building a team. I'm always worried though when everything points to a comfortable Charlton win!
No way he’ll play both Page and DaSilva... I’d give up on that one in the predicted line-ups
Team and bench looking strong, though
COYR
Dunno... He mentions them both in the below article... Unless thats just to say its Dasilva's turn for a rest with Tuesday coming up, and having only returned from injury doesnt want to put too much strain on either
Dan Leadbitter (Defender | 14-appearances) James Clarke (Defender | 1-appearance) Tom Broadbent (Defender | 12-appearances) Marc Bola (Defender | 9-appearances) Liam Sercombe (Midfielder | 26-appearances, and their Captain I think) Stuart Sinclair (Midfielder | 16-appearances) Tom Nicholls (Striker | 14-appearances) Joe Partington (Defender | 19-appearances) Chris Lines (Midfielder | 19-appearances)
I suspect that one or two might appear (Lines is suspended) yet their defence especially is there for the taking!!
Last season we won 5-1 there under Nugent, same again would be nice. It's interesting how the match report mentions Karl Robinson watching in the crowd....
Bristol Rovers v Charlton Athletic Saturday 7th April 2018 … 3pm Kick-Off Referee: Robert Lewis (Shrewsbury)
Introduction Keeping the first two sections short for the rest of the season to add a temporary feature… Charlton travel to Bristol Rovers this Saturday in what was a repeat of the opening day of the season – Patrick Bauer scoring the sole goal of the game which saw Lee Novak sent off early doors.
The Opposition Name: Bristol Rovers | Manager: Darrell Clarke Ground: Memorial Stadium
Tomorrow Charlton travel to Bristol Rovers looking to cap off a memorial turn around… Our opponents though shouldn’t be taken lightly… Despite losing Billy Bodin to Preston in January; Bristol Rovers have started to climb the table and sit just beyond what is an epic fight for the Play-Offs… A win for the away side should keep Charlton in the Play-Off positions, a win for the opposition and we could see yet another side joining what is already a crowded fight for just a handful of positions.
The Play-Off Race Between now and the end of the season all Charlton can do is focus on winning their matches and let fate take care of everything else… The ideal situation would be seven wins out of seven yet matching the scores of our rivals will be enough to secure a Play-Off position.
With just six points separating fourth and nine… a lot can go wrong for anyone of those sides… Plymouth and Peterborough having the unenvious task of facing each other this Weekend – You could say that Portsmouth have the easiest tie (a trip to Rochdale), yet with their opponents fighting for survival, nothing is guaranteed at this late stage... Rotherham will play host to Fleetwood (a side rejuvenated under John Sheridan), the Millers will be looking to bounce back quickly after their heavy loss to the Addicks last Saturday.
You’d have to be a brave betting man to predict how it’ll all end up!!
Charlton Team News As Charlton continue to wait for their takeover, good news finally came out of Sparrows Lane this week with Lee Bowyer confirmed as Manager until the end of the season… the ex-Youth product making a storming success since his promotion to the hot seat and am sure many Addicks fans cant wait to see how events unfold in Bristol tomorrow.
For three games; Lee has confirmed that he’s been reluctant to make changes, yet against Rotherham finally overcame that reluctance in impressive style with Ezri Konsa and Jay Dasilva returning to their respective full back slots – You’d expect both to appear tomorrow, yet with Tariqe Fosu now injured for two weeks (groin), we could see the Chelsea loanee pushed forward more with Lewis Page returning to the Defence.
Ahmed Kashi has also now returned and is available for selection, giving Lee Bowyer an even bigger headache.
Prediction Unfortunately I don’t see our rivals dropping many points now and its important that we lose as few as possible… With important games coming up against four teams fighting for promotion, its imperative that we win the games against the rest – Failure to take three points tomorrow and it’ll be an anxious look at the results around us!!
You have left Anfernee out of the squad. He starts for me. I think it will be the same team for the Northampton game minus Fosu

Yeah I know... He'd start for me too, yet is the least experienced in the First-Team at the moment so wouldnt be surprised if he's dropped
2-0 Charlton, we have to beat these and Wimbledon to make play offs I would say, anything less than 6 points could see us fall out of the top 6 and we don't want that when the 4 games that follow are all top half teams.

Plymouth have Scunthorpe, Rotherham and Portsmouth still to play, so I suggest that some of our rivals will be dropping points !
Plymouth have three promotion chasing sides left to face... We've got four
What I meant in the prediction section was I dont any of the teams dropping many points against the Rochdale's and Fleetwood's of the league - they'll have the same mentality as us... those matches are the must wins, the games against the rivals, no one can afford to lose.
Would be lovely if we can go to Rovers tomorrow and get the same scoreline as last season - Do wonders for the Goal Difference
Is that the same Rochdale that beat Shrewsbury last week 3-1.

As long as The Sun does not have us down as odds on favourite, whenever they have done that this season, we have lost. Staying optimistic, 0-3. Another Bowyer win and keep place on top 6
Head of Medical Services Alastair Thrush has provided an update on Tariqe Fosu, ahead of the Addicks’ trip to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Scans have shown that Tariqe's injury is a minor one to his groin. The winger picked up the injury to his right groin during Monday’s match with Rotherham United and is expected to return to the squad in around two weeks.
Charlton supporters planning on backing the Addicks at Bristol Rovers on Saturday will be able to purchase tickets from Memorial Stadium on the day of the game.
The club were informed by Rovers on Friday morning that 300 terrace tickets will be on sale, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
822 Charlton fans are already set to back the Addicks in Bristol. Tickets will be subject to a £2 price increase on the day, meaning they will be priced at:
Four wins in his first four games would be a sensational start for Lee Bowyer. Apart from SCP only two Charlton managers even managed two wins. That Jimmy Seed guy could only manage one. We don't know why they continued with him. Maybe his grandson could explain ? https://castrust.org/2018/04/can-bowyer-rival-powell/

3-1 to The Addicks
Ajose , Zyro and Bauer
Agreed.
Djiksteel was very unlucky to be dropped after 2 outstanding performances.
I did not even think of erring on the side of absolute deep deep pessimism brought about by the dark depressive well of doom supporting Charlton...
0-2 to the Addicks!

1-1, and we're all trying to work out what that means.
Zyro.
As long as Mendez doesn't post one of his "we haven't lost against Bristol Rovers for 47 years" tweets.
I will go 3-1 Charlton.
