absolutely fecking useless.
ill go through my latest dealings with the circus that is unfortunately part of the club;
go online to get Pompey tickets 2 weeks ago ( met all criteria ) cant get them - call the ticket office explain the problem - no worries we can see the system is faulty so as a gesture of GOODWILL we wont charge a booking fee - yes that's correct as the system isn't working correctly they will take my booking over the phone.
tickets will be sent out tonight should have them by friday - 5 days passes no sign of tickets, ring them to be told you'll have to wait and see as they were definitely sent and its royal mails problem - another 7 days passes ( today ) call them up to be told the postman must have lost them and ill have to call again a day before to see IF Portsmouth can do something - i explained that its going to be a sold out game police often ask to look for tickets when heading to ground - told thats not there problem i also explained that its a likely hood i'm going to have to go to the Pompey home ticket office to collect them, meaning mixing with a load of Pompey fans etc.
absolute fucking circus - although what should i expect i'm just a customer.

Royal Mail should do Charlton for slander, the amount of blame we've tried to send in their direction over the last few years. I'm surprised Karl Robinson didn't try and blame Royal Mail for our numerous lacklustre home performances.
Yes Royal Mail are useless themselves yet at the moment the club just look like they're passing the buck
Why arent they sending out better than bog standard first class and getting them sent recorded etc. so if someone complains in this sort of case... the club can at least turn round and offer proof of Royal Mail's mistakes
That way, any lost ticket can have the barcode canceled and be re-issued in an instant.
Ending the sale of away game tickets at 1pm on a Thursday, so the remainder can be put in the post back to the home side in time for the game, belongs in the past.
It's simple enough to provide the visiting club with a data file of available seats and then let the software do the leg work. Friday night, send the data file back to the host club.
Simples.
Poster above that talks about stopping sales on a Thursday lunchtime so returns can be mailed back to home club nails it- bloody ridiculous in the modern age.
I ordered it 2 weeks before his birthday and the Wednesday before the game I emailed the ticket office saying they hadn't arrived yet to which they replied that they would be with me Friday.
Nothing in the post Friday, emailed again saying nothing was here could they reprint and we will collect Saturday and as a gesture of good will if they had any presentation boxes left (not the scarf or any of the other bits, just the box) could they put my son's one in it as it would be his birthday the day of the game.
Get to the ground and we just get handed the tickets in an envelope as normal, Wednesday the following week I get an email from the ticket office saying they didnt have anymore presentation boxes left- 4 days after the game!!!!
Also the original tickets purchased never arrived.
Obviously we can only speak of our personal experiences, but it still seems a pretty good system to me (the random delivery times aside) and I can't remember anything that I was expecting to be delivered by them to have not turned up.
The club, on the other hand, seem to have got a bit of previous in this area.
Get an email from CAFC confirming you can collect from Portsmouth. Forward the email on to the Pompey ticket office and confirm they have knowledge of it and the best place to collect.
In my experience communication and issue resolution isn't a strong point of our ticket office.
Still can't quite understand why their payment method was bought into question ahead of actually selling tickets.
I was disappointed with the thread in general, I thought it was going to be a "would ya"?
Hope you get in ok
How did it turn out in the end?
