I can not recall a day where Inhave felt so low after the game.
Believe me there have been many lows over those years.
They say it's the Hope that Kills you.
I had given up the season when KR went and then all of a sudden we win 3 games and appear to be a different team with new hope/ spirit that we seemed to have got our season back on track.
It was then in our own hands with 3 winnable games.
1point later and I have just witnessed one of the most abject performances I can remember.
The club needs to be cleansed from top to bottom ASAP.
Let's just hope we can get new owners in to bring an Ambition back to the club that is so sadly lacking.
Money talks - but look at well run clubs Watford/ Burnley and Bournemouth and dare I say Millwall to see what can be achieved
We can only Hope - But it's the Hope that kills you

I think most teams can see something to build on if they miss out on the playoffs. Not us though, the future isn't looking bright until Roland fucks off.
Many under this owner...
We find ourselves in an appalling limbo which may last even longer yet.
It may be the same thing.
You hit the nail on its proverbial when you say it's the hope that kills you.
Like you, I'd given up on reaching the Play Offs towards the end of Robbo's reign- despite our position in the league, I couldn't for the life of me see us competing with the other teams coming up on the rails. Most of our performances lacked some ingredient that made us stand out above them whilst several players failed to fill me with much enthusiasm.
However, it quickly became a case of " The king is dead ! Long live the king!" and my old heart began to beat that bit quicker....even the ineffectual Reevesy morphed into a midfield maestro ! A new decade dawned for yours truly, a new exciting era for us all ! 3 wins out of 3 ....Wembley here we come !
DOH !
As my wrinkles grew ever deeper & those pesky bingo wings ever flabbier, our team grew ever shakier and it was as if Robbo had never left. I listened to last Tuesday's match and read numerous accounts of how poorly we performed but hope springs eternal - surely we'd find our mojo again today ?
The rest is history & has been well documented by those Lifers who can pinpoint where it all went wrong today whilst I merely mutter ( and often shout) "That's crap!" - I'm sure you get my drift. It really is difficult to remember many instances of well placed passes, flowing football and shots on target. As the final whistle approached, I felt angry, as if I'd been cheated - promised so much and then let down. Where was the game plan ? Where was the effort? Where was the spark that Bow & JJ had conjured up only a month ago?
I don't lay the blame at Bow's door. He's been thrown in at the deep end facing an unenviable task with a sink or swim ultimatum & he should be congratulated for accepting the poisoned chalice. He's giving it his best shot- of that I'm certain.
But the odds have been stacked against EVERY manager willing to take on the challenge since the winter of 2014 when the ominous shadow of Duchatelet first floated across the Channel & darkened our Valley. Little did we know what the stewardship of this Belgian would mean to the faithful & how our well respected, famous football club would wither whilst he held the purse strings & made the important decisions.
We must believe that the light at the end of this long dark tunnel is finally growing closer ; that we shall soon be released from the iron grip of our tormentor and that once again, we can play our part in bringing OUR club back from the brink.
Only then shall we feel truly reconnected with our players & regain the ultimate pleasure of a football supporter - to enjoy watching our team week in, week out, full of hope, expectation and most of all, pride.
Please try hard to keep the faith, however difficult it seems tonight.
And remember what we sang at Wembley just 20 years ago ?
Things can only get better.
RD could not have been further from my mind.

I hit 50 years of support on Friday April 20th. Were it not for a potential takeover it's never felt as hopeless as it does now.
- Vow not to spend any money that could find it's way back in Duchatelet's pocket.
- Support ROT, by signing up and helping them to stand.
- More demo's in Belgium (needs someone to lead).
Worse thing is there does not appear to be an explanation as to why ?
They are a team of misfits put together by slade and Robinson.
Bowyer is obviously trying his best but does not have the right players at his disposal.
I have said before league one is all about tall physical strong athletic players.
We have not got the right players for league one.
Hope was gone away back before this season even started, it was delusional to think otherwise. The bigger picture revealed at the start of the season the usual Duchatelet pre season gathering together of a squad, lacking what's required.
If by some miracle Bowyer did cobble enough wins to get us in the play offs and through to promotion, then what. More likely the old codger would hang around longer in the quest for even more money, interested parties would walk and dear old Roly would take us straight back down again.
This club has lost its heart & soul and will not come out of the coma till the Belgium clown has gone.
However it's not as grim as being kicked out of our own ground by another greedy owner. I truly thought we were finished then.
The team that got us out of this division the last time , had players that could play a bit land also mix it up when they needed to, players such as Morrison, Taylor, Cort, Hollands, Kermorgant.
Every team we come up against seem to be organised, have physical players and a game plan that they stick to.
It felt just like one of the last games under Gobinson, all about negative attitude and half-heartedness.
That's me done for the season.
Fuck off Roland.
Employ people to communicate with the fans not PR companies but humans, encourage fans to come back and heal the rift between the fans. Sweep away totally the management team both on and off the field, employ an excellent and proven management team both on and off the field, don’t look back, look forward to the future, have and publish the five year plan if that includes an exit strategy then publish that as well, engage with fans and the wider community.
It alright saying all the above but we need Roland to sell before any of my hopes and dreams can be fulfilled. So basically what I’m saying after almost 60 years I’m at my most pessimistic I have been in that time, which when you think what we have been through and achieved together, that must be a bad place.
Its also clear that when we go one down we dont have the guts or resolve to turn it around.
If you look at the 3 games we won recently, we scored first, and early, in all three- and looked a different team. We wont score first in the next 7 games !
It's really gut-wrenching. Everyone has to cope with it their way. I think now I am going to really get behind ROT, do whatever I can to help, and get over there whenever they call people to do so. It means the company of fans who are, like the 1990 crew, ready to "do more than just sit in the pub moaning." (Steve Dixon). Duchatelet, like some members of Greenwich Council in 1990, thinks his position of power made him untouchable. Some of them lost or terminally damaged their careers because of their arrogance towards Charlton fans who were not asking for anything unreasonable. The same is true now, and I think we can inflict damage upon Duchatelet which even he might think is worth losing a few million in order to avoid.
