He seems to be wishing us well so not sure why we can't do the same. Not for today of course. He did a lot of good things whilst he was here. Yes he was too rigid in his formation when it got found out, but he put a lot of things on the right track.

So, so wrong. He did very little that was good
Failed on the pitch.
Actively supported and back the regime
Talked nonsense, mainly while promoting himself.
Blamed everyone but himself.
Left in a very unprofessional way.
Aren't the supporters going to home games "backing tbe regime" ? :-)

I think he started pointing us in the right direction. Don't get me wrong, his failings stalled us, but he helped do the ground work for Bowyer. Bowyer had something to build on and that was evident with him taking us to the play offs last season so quickly after taking over.
Robinson was a far better manager than Slade in my opinion. Bowyer is a better manager than Robinson, but the guy didn't leave us weaker.

Still gets a lot of unnecessary abuse from us. He has wished us well as he has done previously and I still believe he cares. He did care while he was with us and tried his best, ultimately that wasn’t good enough. We have moved on on the pitch, I think the fans probably should too.

He bought in some decent players but was limited tactically, I would say he improved things overall but not sufficiently and Bowyer has clearly done better.
he seems to be desperate for people to like him and got unnecessarily involved with the ownership issues at the beginning thinking he would have an impact. He said some supportive things about RD then less so towards the end. Bowyer said supportive things of RD when he started that would have had many others pilloried but got away with it as he is Bowyer, like Robinson his tone towards the owner has clearly changed.
Pretty much every manager blames others when results are going against them, it is the norm - not just in football !
when he left he thought we were about to be taken over and realised he was likely to get the push, iirc there was lots of talk about Kewell. He engineered a move whilst he had an option open, as a guy who has probably not earned huge amounts out of the game yet he likely needs a job and looked after himself, fair enough.
bowyer is lucky that he will be a multi millionaire from the game and can afford a more relaxed attitude because of that.
i don’t rate Robinson and was not sad when he left but your comments above do not feel fair to me.

He recently said on Talksport that he hoped we would get promoted, not a complete failure, but not a complete success either, an ego the size of cruise liner and very Brent’ish, but I think a decent fella if you had a pint with him. Always backed him initially, until near the very end when the BS and Brentisms got too much for me.

I liked him until he’d clearly lost interest. He was a massive improvement on Slade
The man is a idiot and all ways have been. I never wanted him at Charlton from day 1 and was over the moon when he left. His football and tactics where boring to watch and he keeps taking out his back side all the time

The football under Robinson was utterly dreadful and almost unwatchable. We had no attacking threat other than passing the ball sideways.
Having to listen to the utter guff he came out with made it even worse. A terrible manager for us.

Robinson Robinson
We should have sung that
