This is the way to watch football......sitting pitchside with no restrictions on alcohol consumption & the best hot-dogs & burgers to hand. Will this catch on at The Valley? Should we clear away part of the West stand to make way for an al-fresco beer garden?

one other interesting activity during an otherwise mundane game, was the Timbers mascot - not your usual oversized foam animal type thing running around, but a real man - a grizzled old lumberjack - who, upon Portland scoring, lopped a huge slice of timber off of a massive log that is placed behind one of the goals - he then ran around brandishing the slice of timber before going back to get the chainsaw & again running around the stadium setting off the saw every now & again to huge cheers

Bit messy I suppose but he could always chase Harvey and Floyd with the chainsaw instead :)
