  • Anyone but Brazil
  • Very suspecious. Looks like pre season
  • Great game by Willian today.
  • No free Bud Light in California today.
  • Brazil vs Belgium will be tasty
  • Brazil have really been grinding these results out haven't they this WC. Don't think they have been 2 goals better than Mexico today but there you go.
  • Really don't like Brazil
  • I reckon Belgium will beat Brazil and we will play them in the final.
    1st team v 1st team.
  • Shame to lose the Mexicans but Brazil deserving winners.
  • Na... didn't like the look (and smell) of this game

  • Brazil are pretty solid, they'll be hard to beat. They are a bit like the team that won in 94, won a lot of games 1-0.

Ochoa is an outstanding keeper and in the US we have known this for years. I wonder if finally top level clubs in Europe start sniffing around.
  • nah not having that Clattenberg, watching that in real time there was next to nothing in that Neymar incident.
  • The best team so far France. Belgium close behind. Everyone else about the same level.
  • His weight is on his own heel, not on Neymar's ankle. Neymar's reaction is a joke.

A few top teams were looking at him after 2014 world cup where he looked good.
Although he ended up at Malaga and dont think he impressed.

Now plays for our favourite team in Belgium

I missed a bit of the game... was Neymar faking injuries and falls again?
  • Loved O'Neil's comment about Neymar and a flu jab

Agree with Bilic too, as each day goes on we worry more and more about Columbia!

the Mexican defender 'placed' his foot on Neymar's foot while the latter was on the deck .. an out of order and stupid thing to do .. BUT .. Neymar's antics were totally o t t .. the incident was well handled by the referee .. However that was about the only leeway he gave to Mexico .. as in most games involving the Brazilians, the officiating was 60/40 biased in their favour, favours they do not deserve. The team is highly motivated, skilled and organised .. on the 'tails' side, they are mean, manipulative, sly and they always play for the Oscars. The actions of winners? .. let's hope not

England now know the kind of standard they'll need to achieve to have any chance from now on against the better teams. I hate to say it, I think that Mexico let alone Brazil would have beaten us this afternoon
  • This game pissed me off. The world cup is pissing me off suddenly. Time for bed.
Dream of Charlton v Accrington Stanley.
True romance. Not a dry eye in the bed guaranteed (now now...)

  • People don't seem impressed with Brazil but they're a solid side. Just 2 defeats in 34 games going back 3 years.

Switzerland's goal in their group game is the only goal they've conceded in 9 games.
  • What on earth was that reaction about?

Looked like he just picked the ball up from between Neymars legs to me.

What has Clattenberg seen there to make him think its a red? did anyone else see it??

He may well have been stepped on, but the reaction afterwards is what you would expect from a 3 year old. I can’t stand him. No question he is a good player, but let’s himself down with his carry on.
  • Aluko made a good point. Brazil are disapointing when you compare them to the image we all have of them, but they have learned that they have to be pragmatic and are a more dangerous team for that beating they got at the last World Cup. They now are far more defensive minded and use their quality to break decisively. Where most nations can't link 4 or 5 quick incisive passes together, they can and any team that beats them won't be far off winning the tournament.
  • Funny that players still try it on even with VAR. Neymar should be embarrassed for himself.
  • Honestly thought VAR might've come back and given a red. Looked like a deliberate stomp on the ankle to me, regardless of Neymar's theatrics.
  • The step FIFA should take to sort out these antics is to ban the player from their next game! FIFA has never taken this sort of thing seriously!

Does everyone appreciate that these players are not wearing soft soled running shoes but hard studded football boots?
