Russia look okay but suspect they’ll fall apart against any decent side

think this will be a good game plenty of shots and attacking intent.

...Nothing to do with the fact I got a 2 quid free bet with William hills on 5 corners each btts and a card each for 30-1.

Russia win they've all but qualified...

Egypt fail to win and they'll need Uruguay to win against Saudia Arabia and then heavily beat the latter themselves to make up the Goal Difference advantage that Russia have

If it's true what I heard the other night that they are charging 200 quid a seat it's no big surprise to me

Good football from the Russians. Egypt are poor.
  • Dream world cup for Cheryshev given that he only got a chance because of Dzagoev's injury early in the first game.
  • Russia look quality. England of 1996 home effect
  • Their right back is class

Don't think Russia are that good. Saudis and Egypt have both been poor.

Will be interesting to see how they play against Uruguay.

Say what you want about Russia and the referees, they've deserved to win both games, and Egypt are showing what no-hopers they are even with Salah
  • Russia look decent but have played 2 shit sides. Although they'll obviously have confidence and momentum from 2 big wins it'll be interesting to see how they do against a proper side in the last group game.

Don't see them beating Portugal or Spain in the second round though.

Russia were supposed to be one of the worst teams too though. They have been very decent and look particularly efficient in attack. Round of 16 may still be their limit, but they're almost certainly getting out of the group and have scored 8 goals so far. They're clearly a couple of notches better than the pre-tournament preview shows had us believe.
