    Mario Gomez hasn't even produced the goods when needed and doesnt look like there is anyone to really rival Werner

    If German fans were to do Charlton Life type scores after the match, I imagine Boeteng's would rival some of Kaikai's low scores!

    Werner is only 22 and Brandt the sub who hit the post is only 22. They and draxler will still improve at international level.

    2017/2018-13 in 32

    But Leipzig as a whole did better 2016/2017

    He was top scorer in ConFed Cup
    Has 34 goals in 63 games for RedBull Leipzig
    13 in 32 league games this season is underwhelming.
    But would be amazing for Charlton. We settle for less here under current ownership.

    I was just thinking that that blooming Muller bloke seems to have been playing for Germany forever.

    I remember Gerd playing in the World Cup back in 1970. However, (if you allow me the sound alike Moller) it seems that we have heard the dreaded name in the World cups of 1970, 1974, 1978, 1982, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2010, 2014 and 2018.

    Gerd, Dieter, Hansi, Andreas and Thomas have scored 150 international goals between them. It’s no wonder the sound of their name is becoming a bit tiresome

    Just read a bit of a depressing stat. Between Alli, Sterling and Lingard they have a total of 73 caps...and just 5 goals for England. That's a dreadful return for players that are effectively out and out attackers.

    Given the frailty of the opposition in this tournament we have the best chance of progressing a long way for ages but we need our attacking players to start supporting Kane.

    And only 1 of those goals (Lingard away to Holland this year) was scored away from Wembley.

    Yep. And the fact that none of them can take a free kick is also a worry. My pessimistic head would say why play all three at the same time in the first place. See what he says at about 3 o clock today.

    So Alli | Rashford | Sterling | Lingard have 93 caps and 8-goals

    Seeing that Rooney had 10-goals by his 24th cap shows what a talent he was and that was by the age of Rashford now (Someone who I still dont see as our next big hope)

    This - I’d have Vardy in the team all day long. Pace to burn, gets stuck in and knows where the goal is. I’d love to see an attack with Him, Kane and Rashford in it.

    Just for arguments sake... Rashford (20-caps | 3-goals) | Vardy (22-caps | 7-goals)

    Rashford's Goals Against: Australia | Slovakia | Costa Rica
    Vardy's Goals Against: Germany | Holland | Turkey | Wales | Spain | Lithuania | Italy

    Quite laughable when you look at that as when Vardy missed his chance against Costa Rica, the pundits started to question whether Vardy had the ability for the International game

    From what i've read, Loftus-Cheek will play instead of Alli and Rashford is in for Sterling.

    A bit like when Darren Bent scored 24 goals for Charlton and was ommitted from the England squad.
    Sometimes manager's look at the club you are at rather than the player.
