I may remain a Brit living abroad, but let me be clear...there is NOTHING like the coming festivities tomorrow for lifting the mood of the country, whether at home or abroad.
The pomp, the ceremony, the flags, the smiles, the cheers, the local businesses making out like bandits with 'periscope' viewers. This type of event happens so rarely, and is truly a uniquely British occasion. We'll be getting up early here in NYC so as not to miss a moment !!

Been here since 6am for the missus. I wasn’t fussed but wanted to do it for her and we are right at the front with the kids being able to catch a clear glimpse when they come past in the carriage.
Have to say it has blown me away how many international visitors are here. It’s the perfect response to anyone who rubbishes their value to us. The Royal Family bring a fortune in tourist money to us.6 -
