Final has to be shown free to air, so BT are doing that on all platforms.
Yes this is what they are claiming but at the moment we can only connect a PS4 to the TV, and it cannot get the BT app on that, but we can get YouTube. We need to get hold of a connector for a laptop if we want to get BT onto the TV.
Looks like you've already solved your problem. Just watch it on the YouTube app through the PS4. I did the same last year and will be on Saturday.
So the BT Sport channel on Sky that I can't access as I'm not subscribed, will this be viewable Sat night?
Yes - at least that's what they usually do.
So.....not really a yes then.......just a ‘what they usually do’.....which ain’t a lot of help if they don’t RedRobin!!!! How does one find out in advance is what we need to know?

Came up as invalid channel and have just read that BT have withdrawn it from Freeview
It'll be available on Freeview on the night.
Ermmm......you don’t know for sure do you?
Find out for yourself then. Only trying to help. What a weird thing to call someone out on.
Sorry mate, but you did say it was going to be on Freeview on the night. Then you said well that’s what they usually do.....so I and AFKABARTRAM were I think a bit puzzled.....maybe I shouldn’t speak for him though as I’m not certain of that but I got the idea he was.
Well between me being 70 and my next door neighbour Alan, who’s 83, we know f all about compooters. As we are both going to watch the game, I was going to invite him to my place if it was going to be on TV but sadly that is now unlikely. Red Robin kind of built our hopes up for a moment there, but no big deal at our age we can’t leave things to the last minute! So I will have to take him to the pub instead.
Well gotta say thanks to all the quick responses, looks like we have two options, once we get the right HDMI connector for the Macbook. Its not my idea of free to air, but well, i guess it really isn't my country any more.

Maybe try the wireless.. R5 Live? Otherwise down to a pub that is showing it if that isn't too much of an imposition?

The pub was never an option. Not in Eltham...
Not if your view of free to air telly is one from the mid 90s. The whole country has a free to air option, and can watch it
I hope it’s on analogue and not too many trains go past causing interference of the signal from the Crystal Palace tower. I don’t wanna spend half the match adjusting the aerial or bashing the side of the TV. I’ll also have to remember to turn the tele on at around 7:30 to let it warm up. Will it be on bbc1, bbc2, itv or itv* ?

The whole country, eh? Would this be the same country where I keep hearing/ reading of people with Internet speeds slower than a South Eastern Train?
I can generally manage internet delivered TV reasonably well, but as far as I am aware there are still millions of people with crap net speeds, and possibly as a result, they have no idea how to do this. @SoundAsa£ is obviously one example.
In Prague we just, you know, switch on the Telly...

If it starts playing up get Radio Rentals round to have a look at it
In other breaking news for @PragueAddick the premier league, the play offs, test match cricket, and The Open are also not on free to air terrestrial tv.

Whatever happened to listed sporting events? The list is getting shorter and shorter.

I is a bit of a liberty its not on free to watch tv, but there are still plenty of options available.
