Like many older Lifers I have supported the club for over 50 years through thick and thin, I have experience highs and lows but nothing as low as now. We have an owner who I abhore from which I decided not to give him any more of my money, last season I attended 2 games at home - the legends and a £5 game and now I live in Dorset there are few close away games, unlike in Lancashire, plus:
Konsa sold to Brentford, I ask you,
other players rumoured to be sold,
no new players
2 allegedly problem youngsters on holiday
Goalkeeper coach gone to Millwall
RD now “planning” for another season
possible reluctant purchasers keeping very quiet
and this forum is becoming spiteful and unnecessary on some threads, but I still keep hoping and checking in
....but for how much longer

The reason I still attend as many games as I can is because it gives me the opportunity to meet up with people that I made friends with back in the late 60's early 70s.
I often say to them that I've had enough but they talk me out of it and I keep coming back.
Charlton is a hard drug for me to kick if I'm honest.
Also if I do stop coming completely it would feel like the Belgium madman has won.
Keep the faith mate and hopefully he will be gone soon.
I have supported both Charlton and football in general for over 50 years and after yesterdays news broke about the Ibiza episode a little bit of the love I have for both sadly died in me.
I have been boycotting for over two and half seasons so I have lost touch with The Valley, and football nowadays is not the game I grew up watching and enjoying so much.
I have my doubts about the Aussie consortium looking to buy us, if they do manage to pull it off it will not be for the love of Charlton or its history, it will be for a return on their investment and financial gain in the future.
I will see what happens but if RD is here next season I feel another 12 month boycott will mean I never return to The Valley.
Never actually believed I would feel that way especially about CAFC.
Now, we seem to have succumbed to RD's devide and rule approach. I can honestly say that I have never hated anyone the way I hate Duchatelet. Not even my first mother in law, and that is saying something.
However, Serie A has kept my love for football alive this season. Watching Napoli has been an absolute treat and the game is still alive over there. I’ll be flying out this season to a couple of matches. The players are still so close to the fans, the fans have a huge say on club matters and it hasn’t been destroyed by money yet. The atmospheres are amazing and so many young prospects you can watch develop.
I don't live in the Yemen or Alleppo,
I never have to worry where my next meals coming from.
I'm not a spanner.
It's about perspective.
See you soon mate.
It's all down to one person, Roland and he is killing our club and my love for the club. I hope that when he goes, my love will return, but that's very uncertain.
It will take years to repair the damage Roland has done.
Charlton has been a huge part of my life, ST holder/CARD member/Museum trustee and most importantly dad to a 13 year old Addicks fanatic, but this last few weeks has sucked the life from me. Aside from mates I know and see through football I can literally list Olly, Mick Everitt, Ravi, JJ and Matt Baker as the only people I feel any affinity to at my own club.
Re-discovering soul music and vinyl again with my misses plus the potential for the Cleveland Browns to finally get it right, I have other social threads to follow in life. I just hope something positive happens before the season starts because at the moment I cant see me going.
Its all just so very sad.
But, as they say, it's darkest just before dawn. My God, I hope so.
Thanks Roland you cunt
Horrendous.
