No clubs are going to be offering contracts just yet in the current financial climate. Why pay a free agent a salary now when the season doesn't start till mid September
Of course they will, even in our situation we're in talks with players. Clubs want signings in for pre-season which will presumably start later this month.

Wonder what his next hair colour will be?
  • "Didn't Lyle Taylor refuse to play for Charlton after the coronavirus break? They then got relegated by a point. Absolutely do not want."

Glad his reputation is preceding him
Scores 2 goals on debut, god.

    Fickle fans everywhere.

He’ll get to earn good money, play in the Champions League and more than likely win silverware (possibly the big 10 in a row they are after).

The old-firm rivalry will also be a major opportunity for him to rile people up and grab attention (on the pitch and on social media).

Think we’re clutching at straws if we think it’s all going to turn sour just because of a few tweets he’s made in the past which might indicate he isn’t a Corbyn lover.

Hate to admit it but this would be a move that ticks every box for him.

I never understand why people say it's a good move for a talented player to go to Celtic/Rangers due to champions league, don't Scottish teams only receive qualifying places in champions league? Not exactly highlight of your career going to Romania on a Wednesday night and losing a qualifying game.

Better than doing the same at Burton

    Yeah.
When we signed Tony Watt none of us ever mentioned we were getting a player that scored a winner against Barcelona.
Or that Igor had played in champions league.

He just needs to remember to celebrate scoring goals by pretending to play the flute and he’ll be a hero in no time at Parkhead !

Didn’t think I really cared about his next club but the thought of him missing a walk up penalty in an Old Firm game has made me smile.

I was clear in saying Champions League as that was the competition being mentioned on this thread.

Its still a good move to play in the Europa League lol.

Whether its Champions League or Europa League its more than anything they would get at Charlton amytime in there career

If you are going to make up a transfer rumour then be a bit odd about it.

    Celtic get awarded a penalty

Lyle does such a slow walk up that Scotland have declared independence before he actually takes it

Quick look at Twitter, Celtic fans REALLY don't want him signing for them.

Seen a couple of people now suggesting that this is all Taylor's agent talking through Sky to get his name out there, no idea if it's true but wouldn't be surprised if it is.
