He may love himself, but he scored an excellent header and a superb second, running from the half way line.
We'd walk L1 if we swapped Lyle for Bogle.

I’m over it now, life’s too short.

Good luck to him, our talisman during his time with us and you can’t take it away from him, he’s a quality player.

I bet he's terrified of drawing us in the cup.
  • So, cos he has scored at last, does that mean that this
post is now defunct and dead in the water, or are we
    now Taylor fans ;)

    Which cup?

Well some of us still are and some of us are not.

Fair enough, that's in all probability a fair consensus.

    Forgetting the Derby goal

  • About the only way he will score at Forest is by the penalty
spot,  seems to have forgotten about it in open play when
there are a few defenders around :)
3 goals in his last 4 full games at Forest now(not counting his 13 minute sub appearance last week) only 1 of those were a penalty.

Seems to have found his feet

No coincidence that now he's fully fit and starting games he's scoring.

He could of been fitter earlier, if he had seen the season out with us.

Time we closed down some of the ex player threads.. We don't need updates every time they score..........

Ex players continue to score everywhere.

Lyle was always two players in one.
Could play as a winger as well as a striker and so could Karlan Grant. Their interplay partnership would've seen us finish in 2nd place but it was not to be. ( We finished 3rd with Parker who couldn't score)

Taylor ability is the reason we are gutted.

Agreed.  Especially this one - the guy is a total twat
  • Got Forest to finish top half in an accy with us.  Would love Taylor to fire them to 12th.

Not sure how many times people have to say it: Don’t open the thread if you’re not interested. It’s really that simple.

It's funny how people were happy to continue with the thread when things were not appearing to go so well but now that Lyle has scored a few goals and the Forest fans are warming to him, the thread should be closed.

Keep it going - he'll have a barren spell soon.

Of course he will, but what does that have to do with anything?

Those that want to have a go can do so at that point...
  • I wonder if Taylor with his over inflated ego, is reading all
this interest, both good and bad, and lapping up all the
attention, if so, he must be thinking he can do no wrong. ;)
  • Lyle is a good striker at this level and I expect him to continue to do well in what is an average side

I think he could do a job in the top division too. I suspect/hope his refusal to play for us raised enough character concerns to kill that opportunity for him.

Very well said Lyle... Am surprised he's not been made a villain by media or on Social Media!!

Hopefully if anyone thinks to, they'll remember he's already been very out spoken on racism in the sport in the first place

I thought that too. Glenn Murray the template. Hard work, shrewd positional sense, always able to last the whole game.
