Have they learnt nothing from the Contract debacle with Southall?
Pathetic Lyle.8 -

All that tweet will have done is create further listeners desperate for news2 -

I can understand him not wanting to risk injury and Lyle is a big reason we are in the Championship just feels a bit of a kick in the teeth he gets injured away not representing Charlton we pay his wages while out injured (as we should) but he wont risk a few more games.

I won't believe anything until it comes out of the mouth of Lyle himself, Lee Bowyer or Richard Cawley

If the season had carried on as usual would he have sat out April/May?
I know the contract issue is much more immediate this season because of the delay but there is no confirmed date he could sign with a new club anyway.3 -
Or has he been internally suspended due to his views on the videos? Although he wouldn't be able to train I guess....0

We'll be lost without David Davis!27

I wonder how many other clubs this has happened too, their main player deciding not to play.

Sounds to me Lyle has a deal with a club already and they are saying he cant play.22
-
Bowyer sounds annoyed in that interview4
-
He wasnt that bothered about getting injured playing for Monserat was he ? He picked up his wages for 4 months when he was out then.
Sewer rat.19 -
Been promised a move by his agent I bet. 'Don't play for the next month and you'll be earning 20,000+ for the rest of your career.'

Macaulay Bonne its your time now5

Davis is pony I I couldn't care less about him4

I'd tell him to fuck off now. Sit by the phone Lyle & wait for that big money move. Dont want you in or around the club now.9

It sucks, but from his side you probably would do the same at his age and his one chance of a big contract in his career. There probably will be a lot of injuries in this stretch of more games after a slightly shortened pre-season too so it's an above average risk4

Danny Murphy saying that Lyle should be playing, says that Lyle should speak to the club about an Insurance Policy
Has questioned if the club are capable of doing that though
Acknowledges that Taylor is 30 compared to Murphy being 20 when he went from Crewe to Liverpool
Yet says that playing with the fear of injury is not a good place to be in0 -
Disgusting behaviour by Lyle. Who does he think he is?7
-
And btw.......if the season starts on 20th June he has 3, maybe 4 games that he should be playing before his contract is officially up.
Refusing to work ? Don't pay him then.16 -
Shame for everyone that he’s gonna leave on a sour note. Can’t blame him personally as I’m pretty sure we’d all do the same. It’s just a shame the way it’s planned out.
seems like he’s gonna get a prem move and good luck to him - without him we wouldn’t be where we are now that’s for sure6 -
Solly is out of contract as well, choosing not to play.
Won't get half the abuse that Taylor will.9 -
Bonne and green with davison as back up will be better than a half arsed lyle who will be giving only a bit of effort6
-
So he’s still contracted till the 30th but won’t play between the 20th & 30th ? Surely he’ll be breaching his contract ?3

Solly isn't as important to the playing team as Taylor
