Hopefully had his contract terminated so he doesn’t get paid for the month
  • Shut this thread down. He is dead a to us.
  • I’m still trying to find his house...

They play at the old Flamingo Park on the A20 near the golf range
Isn't that now going to be Cray Wanderer's new stadium
According to the hoarding outside, yes

Think it’s been removed from the websites.

To be fair, he did alright last time he was there

  • Lyle training with SE Dons.
Did he only have the one shot when he was training ? Fcking impressive if he did though it sounded (to me) like he might scuffed the ground when he kicked the ball. He might need to work on that to avoid an injury.
  • First team profiles on the cafc site probably isn’t going to help find a big money contract as a 30 year old  if he hasn’t already got one as it says he’s only got 3 goals and made 4 starts. Surely that can’t be right, or is it ?

  • Every time he posts something on SM he goes down just that little bit more in my estimation.

The bloke is a narcissist. It's all about him

    Totally agree.

Used to have a few bits of signed memorabilia of him scattered about the house. It’s now Safely in room 101.

No time for him now whatsoever.
  • From the press conference, Lyle came on on Tuesday to say his goodbyes...
Reported in at least one of the Wednesday tabloids, apparently: Taylor was "applauded out" by his former team-mates.

Hmm.  I'm glad that we fans take a rather different view of it all.
If true, then perhaps it shows that the players, understanding his position, are able to take a mature, detached view on his decision.
The best post on this thread.

In life we should try and understand another view even if you don't agree with it.

I am surprised that finances in Scottish football generally especially post Covid allow a (relatively) big money offer to be made and committed to.

I’d have expected a more secure  offer to be from the Championship where TV money is greater.

Curious to see where he does end up / which club is willing to splash the cash when no one knows what matchday revenue will be for a little while.

A championship club would probably want a proven championship goal scorer if they were to commit to decent money. Lyle missed a chunk of the season through injury, probably hasn’t scored that many goals in the championship from open play or set pieces other than penalties (anybody know the number ?) and hasn’t exactly shown that a contract means that much by not playing to the end of it. Would you splash the cash on him ?
