Lyle Taylor can fuck right off, we knew this would happen and I think he probably did too, he made no secret he was after the money and he got it. Can't have him back and I stand by what I said previously in that a lot of potential clubs will have one eye firmly on how he behaved when we went down and won't want a known pussy in their squad or at best will be concerned about his strength of character when the going got tough
Anyone who thinks there is any loyalty left in football is deluded. I don't agree with it and I don't like it, it's just the way of the world now that such large sums of money are involved. Should Charlton as a club always "do the right thing" and continue to fall behind the pack, or instead pay more emphasis on trying to be successful on the pitch by signing players who may well get us promoted? What a dilemma!
Lyle Taylor is a disgrace and so is anyone who would even think about having him back, as would the club be if they even thought about it. What he did was simply unforgivable.
Sadly he got what he wanted and we got relegated. Forest are absolute mugs for signing him after he showed such disrespect for his profession.
Surprised it's even been mentioned as he burnt his bridges with Cafc.
I feel Taylor will have a better season when the crowds can either boo him or cheer him on.
For the sake of 3 at least or 7 games which the vast majority of out of contact players agreed on in the mini League season, Lyle Taylor could've left Cafc held in high esteem. He didn't and the rest is horrible history.
Just reading the blurb from Jo Tongue on the 'Power of a team'.
Success rarely happens without a team, but success is also nothing without a team to share it with. What’s the first thing you do when something good happens? You look to your tribe to celebrate with.

She may have picked a dud with Taylor.
Well that sums it up if Jo is a fan of Meire and Taylor!
Nah mate, we got the hump because he was contracted to play at least three of those games, and refused. I assume he got paid. Had we got two goals out of him in those three games and turned a draw or loss into a win, we'd have stayed up. Imagine if when he got injured playing for Montserrat we'd stopped paying him. He'd have been in every newspaper telling the world how awful Charlton were. But we paid him to be injured and he returned the favour by snubbing the club, fans and team mates.
And as an aside, I imagine a lot of clubs will look at him, balance the possible goals against a misdemeanor against us, conclude goals are a prize asset, and want to sign him. Don't expect that clubs will shun him because he refused to play a couple of matches he was contracted to - the only block will be his wage aspirations.
I'd kinda forgotten about this w@nker until I saw a skybet (i think ) advert the other day in which he features heavily, in a Charlton shirt too! Made my blood boil tbh! Glad its gone badly for him on the pitch, but he won't care i guess.
Don’t think Lyle is a bad person was great for us on and off the field very disappointed at the way he left and I am certain we would have stayed up had he played but he had his reasons

Its one thing being a good footballer and another being a good human being.
Sadly this prick has proved over the last couple of seasons that he is neither.
The family of the poor lady that passed away will disagree.
Well said Elf's.
Mixing up a football career and selfishness with what the person is like away from his work is common among fans.
Maybe after Scott Parker left in a tantrum I was determined never to be upset again at the player who moves on. Not seeing out his contract was the issue with the man once known as 'Lyle Taylor baby' but now known as Cxxt ( am I allowed to say Clot ?)
My opinion on the two occasions we had a chat was he had a giant ego, which he needed to become a professional and he said he went to war with the defenders marking him, but he does have redeeming qualities ?
Loyalty to cafc fans and colleges proved not to be one of them when making sure he was fit to pass the medical and make himself a couple of Million over two years.
I know of a Few CL members who have sold their grannies for less.

Re-signing him really is a no-go, under any circumstances.

Shame for both parties.
