Peroni zero and Moretti zero are both nice. Leffe do a Blond zero, had it in Lidl the other week.
Personally I prefer a zero cider, Old Mout and Kopperberg ones are really nice.
Are the zero percent versions of those ciders sweet as their alcoholic versions? That’s the thing that will kill you with those drinks rather than the booze!

    thanks all

anyone had anything from the Brewdog AF range ?

Had Nanny State and Elvis Juice - both decent enough!  The Elvis one isn't as nice as the Elvis Juice alcohol version but not bad, bit like a Radler/Shandy I guess with the citrus.  Nanny State more bitter.

Tried Collider.  Supposed to give you a "beer buzz" without the alcohol.  Has various additives that are supposed to relax you and have some sort of effect.  It's fine but not convinced.

I can still get a hangover from these - or a headache the next day anyway. It must be the chemicals and additives. My physio has a client who reckons his worst hangover ever was from no alcohol beers.

It's astonishing. You can see why they waited for so long to release it, well after Peroni/Becks got their product out. It isn't quite exactly the same thing but it is very very close.

Another vote for Big Drop which has already been mentioned on this thread, too. They do some excellent stuff. Lucky Saint is also reliable enough.

Had to recall it because of e-coli in the tanks i think?

It's great though, best NA beer by a mile.

  • For health reasons I have had to stop drinking from Oct 23. Highly recommend Guinness zero, in my opinion the best out there. Lucky saint on draft very good too as is Ghost ship. Not so keen on Peroni or Becks, but  will drink a Heineken zero if all thats available.

I like Athletic Brewing's Run Wild IPA but it seems not to be to everyone's taste. Currently 4 for £4 in Tesco.
Day's Pale is also good, same price

Another vote for Ghost Ship. I think the Guinness one is probably the best though; they've got the consistency right which is such a big thing.

Thanks all, got a few to consider. Don’t like Guinness so Guinness zero is a no, and not sure my mum will have any draft available.

Looks like can get lucky saint with our weekend Tesco delivery so probably gonna give that a go.

I like both Guinness 0.0 and Brewdog Lazer Crush IPA (0.3%). Not as good as the real thing but useful to have a few tinnies around when watching football at home.

I was diagnosed with a non-alcoholic fatty liver about three years ago (although the doctors didn't believe me about the non-alcoholic bit). Consequently I haven't had any alcohol since then.

During a unrelated conversation with my Dr last week, I asked about the fatty liver and he said "Oh that., Its been all back to normal for about a year, Has no one told you?" -honestly its enough to drive you to drink!.

Any road up, I am looking forward to Asti Martini, Baileys and possible a Sherry or two over Christmas, but will still be sticking with San Miguel Zero, which I have grown to like- having previously questioned the point of non-alcohol beer.

I have not drunk any alcohol for a few years.  Not that I had a problem it just didn't agree with me anymore.

I like the Guiness, Peroni, San Miguel main brewery ones, but I generally have stuff from Nirvana Brewery.  They are a non alcohol, London based, brewery. Their stuff is decent.

I've never really got the zero alcohol stuff. I very rarely drink to excess these days but I do like the feeling of being gently, merry. Drinking beer of any kind that is not going to achieve that state seems pointless to me - if I'm driving I would rather drink tea, coke or orange juice!

My beer fridge usually only has this in it now, don't often drink "real" beer anymore.  In fact stopping in to the pub on the way to a game is about the only time I drink now.

I don't think it would fool anyone into thinking it's real Guinness, but the flavour it has is still nice.

I used to quite like Erdinger, they started marketing it as a recovery drink and tbh it was pretty good after a hard athletic effort.  Expensive though compared to Guinness zero.

Most other zero beers though I find just don't taste of anything, I'd just as soon have cola or vimto or something as those.

Yeah Erdinger is good. Always though them marketing it as an energy drink was to help them skirt around some sort of German law because it’s a bit weird!

If I drive after a couple of Guinness 0s or no-alcohol lagers I still feel like I’m doing something wrong!

Exactly the same as me, but each to their own.

The difference in the quality and taste of the new stuff compared to Kaliber in the '80's is like night and day.
Kaliber!  Wonder if the big yin still has a pile of it stashed away 😄

My dad used to drink one called "Shilling" when he had to drive which was just under 1% if I recall correctly.  This was late 80s early 90s.

Depends where you are - at home of a normal evening I agree, but if we're at friends houses, out for a meal with the kids etc then one of us is normally driving.  If it's me I like a nonalcoholic beer as it feels like you're joining in, is still a treat etc and drinking lemonade after lemonade/coke etc gets boring!

I also have this but i think its mainly from diet and being overweight as i don't drink that often. Slowly losing the weight and have changed my diet. Still drink 2/3 times a month.

I used to feel the same way, but my opinion has shifted slightly as the quality of NA beers has improved. It's nice to be in a pub and have pint of draught beer but without any of the negatives of alcohol attached. A pint of diet coke just doesn't feel the same.

Especially in the current season of client catch-ups in The City, an alcohol free alternative can be the only way to make it through the week in one piece.

    Yes, I see that.
