3 days after it’s announced he wants to stay and he is confirmed he’s injured
Didnt Bowyer say he expected him to stay after the Welling game had finished? Well now we know why he expected him to stay - and it wasnt cos he is a fan of the chips in the north stand.
I was at Welling and he didn't look "sharp" but tbf he didn't get much service. He probably should have come off as soon as he done the injury (I think it was from the result of a tackle - Welling defender caught the bottom of his foot) but either thought he should soldier on as it was "his" half or we didn't have anyone else to bring on (the first half players had already done their warm down & didn't look like there were any other subs)
I've suffered this injury lately and I got mine from just walking about a bit and pottering in the garden. It's a right bugger I can tell you. Actually it's quite hard to find anyone who hasn't had it when you're looking for a bit of sympathy
Gutted for him, but if anything I think this increases the chances of us seeing him line up for us next season. I was highly dubious that he wouldn't be loaned or sold by the end of August, but this would presumably prevent that.

Speaking of which, I have a heel spur (amongst other Achilles problems). It's a real bitch, I can only imaigne what you've gone through Raith.
As is often the case with the Achilles, there's just no one easy way to treat it. It's basically rest and hope it heals on its own, or there's surgery, which in some cases is the only way to fix the problem but comes with a huge recovery time plus, as we saw with Kashi, the potential for scar tissue build up and other complications.
Igor, for however good you think he is, doesn't deserve the chronic injuries he's been put through. We all know he was rushed back under Peters, we all know he wasn't fit, and my worry is that it has had long term consequences for him.
I sometimes suffer with plantar fascitits due to wearing steel toe capped boots on unlevel surfaces. It hurts and can feel like its burning but i cant see how it would sideline anyone for 8 weeks. I just get on with it and only really feel it when i rest in the evening
If he wasn’t injured he would almost certainly be loaned out anyway. So we lose nothing. And Duchatelet doesn’t get the saving in the wage bill. Happy days.
Unreal, was looking forward to seeing Igor up top with Taylor. Means we won’t see that until the end of September.
Having two plantar fascia injuries so close to one another is odd. You have got to look at the footwear these players are wearing and where the forces are being transmitted to, these injuries shouldn’t happen.
Often with this type of injury it can be down to the surface you play on. I am convinced 4G pitches are terrible for injuries.
When would the players have played on a 4G or even 3G pitch? Surface is of course a big factor but footwear is the main contributor. Too often players are wearing the wrong type of trainers/boots for the their feet.
STVV’s pitch is 4G. He played on it most of last season

But its increased the price of the club by $6.2million

Not really happy days as given the current austerity approach it reduces the possibility of his wages being used to bring someone else in.
Our team and our supporters suffer more in this than Duchatelet
My wife had plantar fascia and couldn't walk without pain for at least a year and I doubt it was a tear. So I don't expect to see Vetokele before January. The wife's fit though

We all have two plantar fascia, your wife would have had Plantar Fasciitis, where the Plantar Fascia becomes tight and can cause a heel spur.
Not enjoyable I can tell you from personal experience.
For Igor that band has torn which is often caused by overtightness or over stretching.
I have planta fasciitis....I am not a pro footballer but you just don't get an injury of this sort all of a sudden..he would have been already carrying the problem...in which case he shouldn't have been playing
You get Plantar Fasciitis as a slow build up over time.
A plantar fascia tear can be completely acute through overextension of the tendon.
Two different injuries though a year can be caused by Plantar Fasciitis

Quite. I can't agree with being pleased that our potential 20 goal striker is out for months.
We really are fucked up when we have fans thinking that.
Bowyer did say he was staying.
I suppose the next step is to hope Millwall & Palace are really suuccessful, so more of our fans start supporting them instead ?

shitfest of a club.

Coming. If you are of a delicate disposition turn to pornhub now.

At least it's not tight now
