I know he was disliked by the purists but exactly the kind of player we have missed in recent seasons, obviously it was only in one match but based on that would rather have had Pratley in midfield next to Dobson yesterday then any of our other options.
Agree but I think that says more about our midfield than it does about how good Pratley is nowadays.

The problem is that it's a lot easier to identify players who need replacing, than actually bringing in anyone better. So often our transfer business leaves us no better off or even worse off.

Totally agree! Pratley looked 28 not 38. Type of player who turns to coaching and makes a success of it.
