What’s everyone ‘s thoughts of the Maeda incident in the first half, when the keeper goes through him to punch the ball?1

I don’t think I’ve looked at this thread before but I had to come on this time because I know the answer to its title question: yes.
Celtic are predetermined Champions. If it wasn’t obvious before, it is now.2 -
Desperate for Hearts to win,
I have vaguely followed them since 1997... before i supported Charlton (scandalous).
I used to live in Edinburgh and it was the closest club to where i lived and worked in a hotel. There was a real character who worked in the hotel kitchen as a 'dish pig'.
He was rough as guts and not much going for him. He was always asking me ... "Ur ye bein a wide-o cunt wi me?" (I was).
He as a lovely guy and i distinctly remember him saying in 1997 with a desperately resigned voice.
"Herts ur nae gonnae win anyhin in mah lifetime!"
If they win, I sincerely hope he is alive to see it.6 -
Personally i think Celtic will nick the win they need. And even if it looks like they won't get the win they need, we all know the players and 60k fans will be pressuring and screaming at the ref to give any little decision inside the box.
I kind of feel Celtic have scored so many late decisive goals this season that it's inevitable they'll end up champions. I completely agree with the poster who said on a previous page that for Hearts to win it, it had to be done before the last game.
I also think that if Celtic had kept O'Neill throughout and hadn't gone through the Nancy debacle then they'd already be champions by now.2 -

This is the one that wasn't given to Hearts v Motherwell:

Dodgy as f**k.4 -
Obviously just corrupt and fixed.
Won't bother watching the final game as the result is predetermined.
Who benefits from this? Do the Scottish football authorities feel they need to have a big club in europe? Or do Celtic just pay for it??

OK I stand corrected on one occasion out of hundreds they didn't do it.DyerConsequences said:
Except the ref didn't literally a few days before at the exact same ground. Was called over and then didn't give the penalty to Hearts against Motherwell.Chippycafc said:We have poor officials in both England and Scotland. Just look at how many biased and poor officials we faced this season. Last night that was a dreadful decision. I am sure Hearts have had some favourable ones go their way over the course of the season.
We've seen for years how bad VAR is and should not be used for matters of opinion. You know when they get called over they will change their mind. Look at Arsenal this season.
Hearts will get their result and you can all go down the old Kent road skipping.2 -

Never a penalty as it would have been a pen to Celtic and you can't notice that here.guinnessaddick said:What’s everyone ‘s thoughts of the Maeda incident in the first half, when the keeper goes through him to punch the ball?0 -

I don’t have a dog in this fight and I’m not viewing it through orange or green glasses. From watching SPL highlights on Sky the quality of VAR use in Scotland is far far lower than in England. I have seen many laughable decisions (including some that have gone against the Old Firm). I generally view them as incompetence rather than as a conspiracy. Whatever may have gone before (even in the same match) that was never a penalty. The still image looks like his hand is in front of his head but the moving images at normal speed to my mind show it only hit his head. The elbow is held close to his own head and wasn’t overly aggressive. A 100 non-foul challenges like that in every game0

Yes, they want the best chance possible for Scotland to improve it's coefficient. They see that as Celtic or Rangers. Had Rangers been in the same position last night, the decision would be the same. There is no bias towards one or the other, just in the fantasies of the fans and followers of both those teams, like they both claim their fans are angels and it's the other lot who are sectarian.stevexreeve said:Obviously just corrupt and fixed.

55 championships each, only 3 years when one of them didn't win it in my lifetime.
The only bias is against all the rest.5 -
Derek McInnes needs to go off on one in his pre-match press conference, do the full old school Mourinho-style referee rant, we know we're not going to get any decisions, we need a strong ref and officials who aren't biased towards Celtic, fully expect them to get every call their way etc.
Take the inevitable fine on the chin, but i think making a huge pre-match fuss about it and putting the officials in the spotlight is the only thing that might make the officials think twice on Saturday.9 -

Two dodgy penalties to Hearts and two red cards for Celtic players, all in the first 15 minutes, should be enough.5 -
Allegedly....

Never a penalty, but the conspiracy theories are nonsense. Big teams getting the big decisions is very different from collusion.0

Hibs made a donation to the building of St. Patrick’s primary school in Plumstead in 1910.6 -
9 minutes into added time has won them the title.
It would have meant a 3 goal victory against Hearts to overtake them.0 -
They'll play for the draw, Celtic will be on the attack from the start.philcafc said:You could see it coming. Lets just hope Hearts can get the draw they need at the weekend, but i fear they wont.
Another Celtic title is on the cards.0 -

It will be justice.shirty5 said:Disgraceful decision last night, but Hearts are more than capable to get the point they require on Saturday lunchtime0 -

I actually would still back Celtic to win by three goals if it had been a draw last night.ElfsborgAddick said:9 minutes into added time has won them the title.
