  • Former Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov is the hero for Aberdeen with 2 saves  in the penalty shootout in the Scottish Cup Final to deny Celtic the treble
  • Congrats to Aberdeen. Only big clubs win trophies in Scotland

    Good.
Aberdeen scored all 4 pens and Mitrov saved two of Celtic's to dominate the shoot out.
  • The lesser the lesser of two evils

Thoroughly deserved it. Celtic were awful and congratulations to them. They tried to walk the ball in like Man City and came unstuck just like they did.

Good job one half of Glasgow has something to show.

    .
  • Another cup win for the underdogs.

Playoff finals don't count as cups, I hasten to add.

  • Rest in Peace John.  Forever in Paradise 🍀
  • Good point for rangers today.

Motherwell away so it's an excellent point.

    Pressure on Celtic now
  • Post match has been a great watch.

You know it’s bad when Rangers lads online are agreeing with Sutton😂😂 #rankrotten
  • As a huge Celtic fan also, anytime Rangers drops points is a good day haha. Hopefully the Bhoys can take advantage of that against St. Mirren tomorrow.
  • Rangers fans are furious already. Long may it continue!

A tough opener against a side who finished *checks notes* 42 points behind Celtic last season. I think you'll be ok somehow.

Indeed it was a tough opener but won it in the end

    That is what champions do.

  • So Rangers are playing my Czech team, Viktoria Plzen in the CL qualifier next week. Any rational thoughts on their strengths and weaknesses, and how does the current sqaud compare with when Joe Aribo was with them ( when they played Slavia and had that weird bust up over alleged racist insults from Slavia’s captain)?

I am sure they would swap it around, Its like a team finishing bottom with 6 points and saying well we beat the top team twice arnt we great, desperate times mean desperate comments. Its embarrassing to be the first British team and only Scottish team to win the European cup.

Celtic looked rusty whilst their other counterparts across the city were up and running, seeing as they didn't win the league last year. Not sure they (Celtic) have the desire this year. Clearly evident in the SFACUP final.

Also the first and only British team to be knocked out of Europe 3 times in the same season.

Whereas rangers were the worst club in the old style champions league group stages.

Exactly. As i said desperate times mean desperate comments. But not a rangers fan apparently.

Absolutely correct, i'm not a Rangers fan, i'm a Charlton fan. What is odd though is how you seem to bite at any dig someone makes towards Celtic even though i've seen you claim a few times that Cowdenbeath are your Scottish team. How does that work? Isn't it like claiming Charlton are your English team but also supporting Man U?

Who would you want to win if Celtic played Cowdenbeath?

In other news, great win for Rangers tonight. As i mentioned earlier this week, they're usually a totally different team when it comes to Europe.

All clubs in Scotland despise the Old Firm, apart from the old firm themselves who only despise half of the old firm! For a lot of clubs their matches there attract their lowest away support of the season.
  • Looks like another season of Rangers doing well enough in Europe to ensure the league winners earn an automatic Champions League spot, but badly enough in Scotland to ensure Celtic are the league winners!
  • Have to salute Rangers for winning a 92nd minute penalty to get a point.

    Never say die attitude.
