  • Hope Albie does well.
  • Good luck, Albie.

    Very best wishes.
One of our own who will be yet another good example of the one remaining top feature of our club, our Academy.
I hope you get a good club Albie.
  • Its not often I will say this about a departing player, but I would be delighted if the decision to let him go came back and bit us on the arse.A top lad, bled Charlton, and maybe in more settled times could have become a Charlton favourite.
  • Hope he has a great career but it was never going to be with us. Really nice lad and I'm sure he will get picked up by someone local
  • Build the team around him?! Have a laugh

Maybe if your team is in the maidstone & mid kent sunday league
  • An error to let him leave. Should have built the team around him. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in a Championship team. With the right manager he will have a very successful career. The pelters he got from some of our fans says all you need to know about the morans that support our club. Albie was a Charlton lad and unlike so many of our players over the past 5 years he actually gave a shit which in my book counts for an awful lot.

We were lucky to have him and the club that he now signs for will be better for him having him.

    Forza Albie.

The problem with building a team round him, ignoring the quality issue, is after approaching 150 games no one has got a scooby what his best role in the team is.

The role he played for Holden seemed to suit him.
  • Lovely words, all the best Albie.
  • Nice lad, great message.

Such a shame he couldn't fully transfer what was seen in training to match day. I do think he'll go on and have a very good career, likely league 1/2 but better than 99.9% of us could ever have achieved.

Still wouldn't be surprised to see him back with Jacko, but wherever he goes I hope he does really well.
  • I think if anyone knew how limited Albie was that would be Jacko. Albie would probably cut it in L2 but I think that’s about his level.

Same Jacko who signed Gunter for Wimbledon?

Find it interesting reading the views on Albie. I've seen them range from he could play in the Championship to the National League is his level.
  • He'll easily get another L1 club if he wants to (depending on location etc). Don't tell me he wouldn't be good enough for the likes of Shrewsbury, Lincoln, Exeter etc

He's good enough for any League 1 club, if he's a starter is a different question, but I certainly think in an  attacking side with decent channel runners he'll do well.

  • Funnily enough, my daughter always said he was captain material. She noticed him always talking with the ref and trying to calm things down. Personally I hope he does well, but not so much that it bites us on the arse. He needs a fresh start where the baggage isn't there.
  • Could see him dropping a level and going to MK. Would probably fit in nicely to how they like to play
  • He’ll join gillingham/Colchester or Leyton Orient
  • He did reach his highest levels for us this season. To the point where I would have understood if we kept him as long as it was as a squad player.

My feeling was that he kept on having a go at the ref when he thought he'd been fouled.

Could well be a decent move for him if he can make it work

Neil Critchley is probably a good Manager to get potential out of players so lets see.
  • Bloody hell.  Blackpool didn’t learn their lesson with Kirk then
  • Good move. Length of contract. L1 and can develop.

Shame Kirk couldn't make himself part of the deal!
  • ok so that's blackpool out of the promotion running , oh no he's a good squad player
