And so cynical, as RD clearly does not care about safeguarding any little remaining "good will" for his successor. What a surprise! But in truth it does not speak well for his business integrity. I wonder if he has behaved in a similar fashion in his electronic companies?
Hardly likely to be Roland - much more likely to be Lieven de Turck who is simply manipulating figures with no interest in the real world outcomes.
Yes for £20 You get a goodie bag, a birthday card and invites to various activities throughout the season.
So far we have the football's, my daughters birthday was last week, no card has arrived, oh and you have to pay extra to attend any of the parties, e.g. Christmas party.
Not sure why I bother actually.
We've only ever joined Young Reds to play at The Valley end of season - that alone is worth the fee.

Tried to join online this season and when I select my son (14) from the database it said he's too young to make the purchase. When I clicked through my name from the drop down list of our family it said I'm too old to join Young Reds!
Charlton’s Young Reds also featured in Saturday’s matchday programme and were able to collect a start of season gift from Valley Central - a size one skills ball. Any Young Reds who were unable to pick up their gift on Saturday can collect theirs on Saturday, August 25th when the Addicks face Fleetwood Town.

So glad to see it wasn't just any old ball then... What a load of propaganda b***s
Does anyone know if being an under 18 season ticket holder makes you a young red? Been trying to get tickets for the Easter party for my two (both season ticket holders) and it keeps saying that I'm exceeding the amount even though I'm only trying to buy one each.

As usual there's something wrong with their system, it will only allow me to buy my boys one not my girls. So another pricey call to the ticket office and hope that they've still got some left.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but does any one else have kids signed up to this.
I tried with my two (age 7 and 4) and it was painful. They did not have their own profiles in CAFC given their age but when I tried to buy two packages it said I couldn’t because I was too old!
So i created a profile for my lad (7) which needed an email account, couldn’t use mine as it said that was already linked to an account so had to use my wife's. Then when it came to pay it auto populated the credit card details with my 7 year old lads name!
When I tried to connect him to me it says I cant as he is already connected with other friends and family and finally after all that and spending £20 they never sent him a birthday card which is one of the things on their list.
I have not bothered with my 4 year old as it would mean going through that pain again and having to create a new email address as I have now used my wife’s and mine!
My missus asked me to look into us buying a mascot package for our 7 year old grandson, it is £300.00........................he is getting a Lego set instead.

Oh okay, it said if he was a junior red or whatever it is now the price would drop to £250.00. Anyway I was only going through the motions for the missus, as a boycotter and anti Roland I would not give the club £10.00 let alone £300.00.
I am afraid our younger supporters are not exempt from the commercialism that is now pro football.Clubs explore every avenue to increase their revenue. How much do they get when 6 mascots are chosen for a single match. Many years ago,my two sons where junior reds,at different time, the club phoned me at home and asked if they wanted to be mascots for certain games,it cost nothing, they met the players, led the team out,got photographs which I still have.( On a personal point, one ocassion was the cup tie at Upton Park, and I stood next to Liam Brady in the tunnel, and he actually spoke to me about my son leading the teams out, also saw Mooro, who looked dreadful and sadly was gone not long after).

I remember seeing this advertised a couple of months ago and was astonished at the price. I actually assumed it was something that they club did for free (or maybe a fairly small cost).
Both of my kids were mascots when they were younger, it was part of being a Junior Red, I seem to recall it was either a ballot or you just applied however I do not recall paying extra for it.

I'm amazed at how many mascots run out with the team these days, it must slightly dilute the experience

As bad as it is that they charge a lot for this, theres obviously plenty of people willing to pay it.
I joined my twio nippers last season 2018/19 via season ticket and it was really good....all news of events via letter, birthday cards arrived , xmas party attended by entire squad and was great, Easter party and of season kick about on pitch excellent. This year paid £20 to be premium get no emails on events (post no longer applicable) no news on events...missed trainingbsession and nearly missed out on xmas party tickets. Really poor.....seems like now back in championship and lots of plastic fans returning club dont care about the true fans who stuck with them in League 1. Emails to Calum at young reds ignored. Shame.
Did the mascot thing a couple of seasons back with my 2 girls, was £200 each but gotta say it was a quality day and they really look after the kids. I enjoyed the tour as much as them I think

@killerjerrylee when I see him on Saturday but if you are a member of a Supporters' Group, it 's worth bringing it to the attention of whoever represents you at these meetings.

This.
The club used to be on the ball in getting kids involved. The Junior Reds was a great thing. Now, I don't know but from what is said it's just another way to get money in.
