Well we didn't expect anything else other than a firm, disinterested no did we? Most people against standing say that if those who are pro-standing want to make their voices heard then they should rely on formal petitions and official campaigns rather than attempting to stand in all-seater stadia.

well no suprises there.. means people like me will carry on standing whilst others get upset about it.. a shame

notice nothing is ever said about people standing in seats at concerts ?

or the fact in standing areas at concerts people routinely have to be carried out because they are fainting or being crushed ?

Standing in seated areas happens in pretty much most sports. Carry on standing, when have the Goverment listened to the people who voted them in on anything before, why start now.
