The Valley was awash with pink on Tuesday as part of Lyle Taylor’s Pink October campaign and bucket and text collections on the night raised £2,218 for Cancer Research UK.
Added to what has already been donated via Lyle’s fundraising page, the total raised is now more than £7,000 with further donations and funds raised from the pink matchday programme and pink beanies still to come.
The fundraising was coordinated by Player Liaison Officer Tracey Leaburn, with 28 volunteers joining in, including pink-haired Harry Goedhart and his Kent Football Club teammates, three Charlton fans from Strood U10s, #PrideOfTheValley winner Daneka Knott and Valli the dog.
