Hi All - new signing here...
    Lows:
Hearing someone shout, "Come on Charlton - we can beat this sh**!", despite disturbing evidence to the contrary at somewhere like Hull early in the season.
Realising that we really are in a lower division than Wigan, Reading, and Fulham.
Wondering early on as we settle down in our new environs, if someone plucked from the lower divisions really is going to emerge as a new Deano, Clive, George Shipley, or Steve Thompson.
Dreading the sight of Andy Reid limping off holding his hamstring and fearing our title hopes may well be going with him.

    Highs:
    Winning away regularly?
    New grounds
Having more than one realistic goal threat - pleeeeeeeease.
Even if it doesn't actually happen, believing that we might just score 6 for the first time since beating (Cup holders?) Southampton, Channon et al.
Seeing a few familiar faces at a few familiar places, and realising just how far we've come since visiting those same venues, frequently as the lesser club.

Going to Barnsley any time of year (even 3pm on a Saturday towards the end of the season) would be one of my lows - the whole town is shite. The whole Interchange was a complete mess a few months ago. Probably still is

Thanks Henry - nice to feel welcome. Just found your comment after narrowly escaping the W. Midlands monsoon. Hope we don't live to regret DB's decision financially - do we know if the Mullins part of the deal (if indeed it was ever more than tabloid talk) can still go ahead?

Honestly don't know. Things can, as the last 24 hours prove, change quickly.
