Would have Costa (Portugal) and Gomez (England) as CBs, Melrose (Scotland) and Firmani (Italy) upfront. Jensen over Rohmedal and alas Herman (Iceland) for Powell. Lloyd Sam (Ghana) for Buyens or even JJ (Finland) slightly out of position or 4-3-3.

Is that John Barnes, who played 79 times for England, 3 times for Enand U-21s, 586 for English teams and never played for a team outside England? Is he the non-British person you mean?

Yup qualifies for my team because he was born in Jamica, the same criteria I have used for Robinson, if Terry Butcher had played for charlton I would have picked him to on the same basis :-)

Igor was born in Belgium but I originally had another Belgium on the bench.

I am surprised you think John Barnes was a better player for Charlton, than John Robinson or JJ

I think he was a better footballer, who played for Charlton ;-)

Almost put Jseper Blomqvist in as well :-)

    That makes no sense tho.

Barnes was born in Jamaica so you have him as jamaican despite playing for England

Vetokele was born in Belgium but you have him as Angola because he plays for them.

  • Sorry I thought this was in fun, jokes and captions not an attempt to redefine any defination of nationality.

Did John Barnes stop being Jamaican when he put on an England shirt? If so you better go and tell him, he identifies as Jamaican British.

You realise you can be British Jamaican, Belgian Angolan British Indian etc?
  • In a 4-3-2-1 formation:

    Alan Campbell (Scotland)
    Graham Moore (Wales)
    Scott Parker (England)

  • Point of order for @paulie8290 to arbitrate on re Eddie Firmani, he was South African but actually played for Italy
  • Ditto Yann, played for Breton. Bit young to have seen Hans Jeppson play but he seemed quite good. Our all time top Premier League scorer played for Jamaica however.

If I can't have Firmani I will gladly take Yann instead.

I knew you could be British Jamaican. But I hadn't heard of a Belgian Angolan British Indian before.

You'd have picked Terry Butcher, because John Robinson was born in Jamaica? Blimey, this game's a lot more complicated than it first seemed.
