We had a big bowl of sweets outside with a sign lit by two torches saying ‘Take Some Treats’
Nobody knocked on the door and all sweets were taken within about an hour. All of the kids were young and were accompanied by adults.

Next year make an explicit statement on the sign that the torches are not counted as ‘Treats’6 -

Got home last night to a dark house apart from a glowing plastic pumpkin in the dining room and then I could hear my missus somewhere in the house going 'ooooh ooooh' - yes, she'd been drinking!3

As I neared the entrance to Elephant & Castle station last nigh noticed about six police cars/vans outside. Inside he entrance there were about a dozen of the boys in blue. Wondered what was going on but when someone asked if there was a problem one of them replied 'Oh no, it's just Halloween' Blimey talk about overkill!0
