  • Visited Cliff's vineyard a couple of years ago . Easely one of the worst made wines I've ever tasted . On another occasion, went to have a sipp of Iniesta's wine ... very good !
  • I'm sure I won't be the only one to remember the very sick version of Misletoe and Wine that was sung at football grounds when it was at no. 1 at the same time as the Clapham Junction rail disaster
  • He lives in Barbados for the majority of the year.

Where does he go for he's summer holiday?
Would have got a LOL but for the "he's"

Johnny is Mexican and I don’t think it’s appropriate to mock his English.

  • Wasn’t Cliff’s name mentioned a while back in relation to accusations of sexual abuse/child porn. He seemed to disappear from public eye and although others were investigated and some prosecuted, we never heard anymore about him. Now he suddenly seems to be back in the limelight. He was on Jonathan Ross the other night

Please tell me that's not a euphemism?

    The case was dropped.

    Where've you been?
It was all front page news this summer as he successfully sued both the BBC and the South Yorkshire Police to the tune of over £600k. He was never arrested and never charged and Child Porn was never mentioned.

  • Apparently a quote from Cliff on Loose Women: 'When I was in the court with the BBC I saw a quote I loved, a judge, Blackstone, said, 'I would rather 10 guilty people escape than one innocent person suffer'. This has been turned into "Sir Cliff Richard sparked outrage after saying he would rather see 10 guilty predators evade justice than have one innocent person suffer a wrongful accusation." and then into "Cliff Richard repeating his line that he'd rather 10 guilty rapists walk the streets than 1 innocent person be investigated" by someone on twitter as reported by the DM. The clickbait MSN headline (which I fell for) also alluded to him wanting rapists to go free, but while I have been writing this it has been changed. All those frothers on twitter doing their pieces - you know every single one would be raising merry hell if the one in ten happened to be their son/husband/father...

  • He is as fake as that outrageous syrup he has on his head!
  • He is as fake as that outrageous syrup he has on his head!

In what way do you say he’s fake.......fake in what way?
Strange comment just to say he’s fake.
  • A fake Cliff Richards
  • He is as fake as that outrageous syrup he has on his head!

Its not an Irish, its his real barnet, so not fake then...!

Didn’t know this but what a stupid thing for him to say. Obviously it has been spun outrageously but the original comment is cringeworthy and didn’t even need to be spun to make it look bad!

Why is that a terrible comment to make? Quite apart from him not being responsible for the original quote, and just saying he thought it was a good quote - anyone should be rightfully outraged when an innocent person suffers an injustice. Given a hypothetical choice between a guilty person going free and an innocent person going to prison, its an individual choice to make, but it's not a simple one. I think you'll probably find a reasonable split of people who are in favour of one side over the other - personally I also believe that I'd rather ten guilty people go free than one innocent person be imprisoned. I don't think that's a 'terrible comment' to make at all

To draw a parallel with sex crimes (which is what the filthy media tried to do here) - where would you stand on Operation Ore? Where people who happened to use the same online payment service as webmasters who ran child porn sites were falsely accused of child porn crimes with no evidence. Hundreds had their lives ruined - several have committed suicide. Is that collateral damage considered OK because some filthy nonces got caught and done? You might think so... But what if it was your brother who committed suicide? Or your dad? Or you?

Not that simple and straightforward I'm afraid

And he doesn't wear a wig. He dyes his hair yes, but it's his hair. Really don't get all the hate for Cliff, he brings a lot of joy to hundreds of thousands of people. I guess it's envy.

A legend. It's so funny (how we don't talk anymore) is the best stadium rock song of all time, and Saviours Day the best xmas song of all time
