Really not our day today for missing our Striker targets
Think that could push Chelsea to finish top 4 now, that last spot is between Spurs and United now IMO the only thing Chelsea lack is a goalscoring forward which they now have
If we can get through this window with Grant and Aribo still there then I think we're the only team in the top five who havent been weakened this month
You know our record in selling players on deadline day?
Not as bad as people think??
Summer 2018-no one Winter 2018-Aaron Barnes Summer 2017-Novak and Crofts Winter 2017- no one Summer 2016- no one Winter 2016- Vaz Te,Moussa, Pete(all released) Summer 2015-Nego, Bikey Winter 2015-no-one Summer 2014-no one Winter 2014-Yann
So since Yann in 2014 we havent sold anyone of note on deadline day, in fact we only sold 1 which was Novak, rest were all released

Go back further and see January sales of Parker, Murphy, Reid. All ruined that season.

No Roland is usually a bit quicker at getting rid of players in a transfer window; i.e. Lookman | Fox | Holmes | Konsa
Of those, Lookman and Holmes were always going to go, I imagine talks had taken place before the window opened. Fox was probably more unexpected for the club

Josh Maja confirmed to Bordeaux. There's a rumour amongst the Sunderland fans that they won't see the 1.5 million up-front fee, as it is being used to offset money they owed Bordeaux for Khazri...

I read that as khazi and thought that's an expensive shit house.

Interesting comments on the Sky Sports Transfer Centre
Sunderland will earn a future sell-on fee. They decided to sell now as opposed to losing the 20-year-old for as little as £300,000 in the summer.
Guess we're in the same boat with Karlan Grant only being a year old - On a purely selfish view point I hope that Maja really sets Ligue 1 alight and gets an England chance, we definitely need more Strikers and this will enable him to get more top flight minutes than he'd ever get in the Premier League at present

That’s the minimum they’d get in the summer, especially when you consider that I believe we got around £500,000 for Sarmiento when he went to Benfica.

Therefore, I say I sympathise greatly with Sunderland's plight.
He'll probably have a better career for longer now rather than just sitting on the bench in the Premier League
Makes the Frankfurt links more believable for Joe Aribo though as they've the same Agent

Not completed but Newcastle are about to actually spend some decent money
£20m for Miguel Almiron
