Referee: 6 largely did okay but Baldwin should have had a second yellow on 3 or 4 occasions.
Phillips: 7 no chance with the goal and commanded box well, few decent saves and looked to get on the counter quickly.
Dijksteel: 5.5 poor first half, better second.

Morgan: 8 MOM - this kid is mustard, carried the ball so well and can play a pass, LB got it wrong taking him off imo.

Referee: 10 Thought he was brilliant. Didn’t reward players for falling over easily and keeping his cards in his pockets ignoring the crowd trying to influence him. Big part of the reason the game was so good!
Phillips: 6.5 Could be more commanding at time but did what he had to do. Good throws
Dijksteel 7 - If he made some different choices could’ve easily been a 9 but was the only defender able to deal with Watmore when he came on. Has serious physical gifts and could become a real player.
Bauer: 7.5 Dealt with Wyke well.
Sarr: 7 Shaky to Start but some good long balls

Bielik: 7 Broke Sunderland’s attacks down well

Taylor: 8 Got the cross in for the goal and was a right handful for their defenders.
Grant: 7 at fault for Sunderland goal losing possession in the middle. Could have got the winner late on. As I said on the last scores stop taking the flipping free kicks!!!!!0 -

Dijksteel: 6.5 - Looks like he could be a good player but was caught out position wise at times - not a right back

Morgan: 6.5 - Looks a terrific passer - bad first touch when he might have had a great chance in the second
Fosu: 7 - Was fouled throughout the game - I thought ref was too lenient with them. I agree foul on Fosu was just outside the area, but if that is not a professional foul, what is FFS! Fouler escaped without a booking! And another in the similar position when Fosu got goal side and the player lent into him to bring him down and a foul wasn't even given. Sorry but not good enough from officials. Sunderland should be very grateful to them!
