My four and a half year old TV has packed up but fortunately I bought it from the good people at Richer sounds so it’s still under warranty. Even better is the fact that the part is no longer availed so they’ve given me £350 to spend on a new one.
These are the two I’m looking at, I use a fair bit of smart TV stuff. Any of you lot out there that are more up on these things than me give me a bit of help deciding.

If you can lob in £30 of your own and the extra size fits, this would be a decent upgrade for the cost...

If, not then go for the original LG or this...

The Tosh probably just edges it, but not by much. There's so little between them you probably won't notice the difference. Get down there, view them both and see what your preference is.
I think I’ll go for that.
Our son is the IT/Facilities Manager at their HQ in SE1 & has worked for the company for the last 13 years.
No trouble taking the unit back and they sent me a £25 voucher, which I put down on a AV amp. That cost considerably more than the voucher and amp combined but it was a good gesture from them, they didn’t have do that.
I can’t fault Richer Sounds always very competitive with prices and their customer service is better than most. A couple of years ago I went into the Bromley branch to buy a 65in TV and the guy in there told me I needed to spend a few hundred more so I took his advice. My wife thinks I’m easy meat for salesmen but I know a 8 series is better than a 7 series even she can’t appreciate the larger number.
Always thought they were very decent.
He's the perfect owner of Charlton.
I hope you kept up the correspondence, @seth plum
